When we arrived on time for our reservation they had given our table away to someone else so were scrambling to find us another table to sit at.
We ordered with Nasim who checked to make sure he had all 4 coffees and meals in the system before we paid. The coffees all came out and then 2 of the meals came. After waiting 20 minutes for the other two meals we had to go up and ask and were told 2 minutes by Nasim. Another 20 minutes go by and we had to ask again. By then we hadn’t been able to enjoy the first two meals and they were pretty much cold. We were asked if we had ordered together or separately (we had ordered together) as if blaming us for this issue. We believe the two missing meals were never made when we were originally told that they would be 2 minutes away.
Once we eventually had all 4 meals after a lot of waiting Nasim brought over replacements for the two original meals (we believe they had accidentally remade the entire order) but by this time we had already eaten most of our meals so we declined. When told this he rudely responded that we seemed confused as he was trying to do a nice thing. We then asked for another round of coffees on the house which were provided but really I believe at least a 50% refund should have been offered. Appalling service. Will not be back. I cannot believe how rudely the owner spoke to us at every step when it was their mistake. Read moreI ordered eggs. My food took over an hour and a half to come out. I kept politely asking how long the food would be and I kept being told it was 2 min away for a whole hour. In the mean time, 3 groups had received their food and left. The food took so long to come that my friends had to leave . A waiter (who turned out to be manager) told me he would check how long my food would be but then never returned. Eventually i asked for a refund. Shortly after that, my food came out and they refused to refund my order.
The waiter (Nizar )came back out and said sorry for the wait. I asked to speak to manger and he said ok and walked away. I asked one of the waitresses who the manager was and she pointed at the waiter!!
When I asked again for a refund Nizar refused and told me I need to be a better person!l and whether this was the really the sort of person I wanted to be!
Nizar the manager then said the kitchen wasn’t working and the food took so long because they couldn’t cook my specific food (eggs!) but could make other food. (Even though they also told me the whole time my food was only a few minutes away!?)
The manager told me he wasn’t authorised to give me a refund so I asked to speak to someone higher up and he said he was the highest one up?!

Read moreThree of us visited He Said She Said Café on March 31, after our custom jewellery session at Friend of Frankie, excited to take advantage of the collaboration offer (a free drink per person (if you $20 spend each!)). One of us ordered a Mango Smoothie and the Nutella Pancakes (from the kids’ menu - but for an adult, which was a nice, accommodating touch) then two of us ordered a Mango Smoothie Bowl to share, and two coffees.
But the experience took a turn when it came to the promo. I displayed the promo card upon ordering and paying for our meals. No one explained the terms upon ordering or flagged that we were just under the $20 per person minimum – by a frustrating $1.70. There was no effort to upsell or let us know, and when we politely questioned it after paying, the staff member responded with attitude rather than understanding.
The most disappointing part? We chose this café specifically because of the collab. Missing out on the offer – especially by such a tiny amount, AND the staff members attitude, really soured the visit. A simple heads-up or friendly suggestion would’ve made all the difference.
