So disapointed on my first visit to Pirate Life. Having been a huge fan and supporter for the past 3.5 years with weekly purchases and always going for PLIFE at bars, i came in for my first visit 21/4.

The blonde female bartender wearing a beanie at 14h03 was so unfriendly and rude, as if she enjoyed customers anxiety around making choices for a paddle quickly.

I called out 3 choices rather quickly and was hung up on the 4th. Wanted to try PLife new beers as mentioned to her. There wasnt anyone behind me at the time, i understand that this may cause frustration if a customer is confused and its busy. But people will be confused around your amazing range at times. There should be more help from your staff where possible or some friendliness.

She did write down any of my choices on the card. After a short while she asked what beers i was having. I had to repeat all my choices making me even more confused. She seemed to enjoy this and not once stopping me to say she needed the last one only.

This may sound minor but it was the attitude and unhelpful tone that got to me.

Said thanks after getting the beer without any response but a blank stare from the customer facing front of your...

I booked at Pirate Life for 40 people as an emergency last minute change of venue (due to the previous venue unexpectedly closing permanently and not letting bookings know). Pirate Life were happy to help and take care of my group (for groups over 25 a preauthorisation of $20/person is required in case you don’t turn up but they were kind enough to waive this on this occasion). A number of our group have auditory sensitivity issues and the venue was happy to adjust the volume of the music in our area to assist. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the meals which were ordered individually (or in small groups) as people were ready came out in a reasonable timeframe and the food was of a good standard. Everyone had a good time and we were there for about four hours in total. There was no sense of being rushed or expected to vacate the tables we were occupying. A good and...

What an absolute disgrace of a place, I ordered a cheese burger from there out side kitchen only to stand and watch the cook use her bare hands no make it.

She had grabbed the frozen patty, then the bun, then the cheese then the lettuce, pickles, tomato, then put it all together, all without washing her hands.

When I approached the young person taking orders, I was informed that she has used sanitiser on her hand and there wasnt a need for gloves, at this point I requested a refund as clearly OH&S wasnt a clear priority and they didnt care. I then couldnt believe that I was being mocked by this women after I had complained.

Its amazing what you can see when the whole kitchen can be observed by side windows.

Absolutely disgusting, I will not be returning untill they retrain there cooks with proper OH&S standards....

Wow! We picked a stunning day to visit Pirate Life. Not a cloud in the sky, loads of places to sit in the outside beer garden with shade, dog friendly which was also nice… we took our little Frenchie along and he made lots of friends. Beer/brewed options were good, we worked our way through 2x tasting paddles trying all different types of drinks. Food was more upmarket than I anticipated which was nice, we had a few smaller options and shared them. Around $60 of food for two people without just loading up on chips. Inside were arcade games / pinball machines for kids to play (both little and big kids) and super cool to see the huge operation in action with all the tanks etc on display. Takeaway drinks and merch available too. Cool place to check out when visiting Adelaide.

Fabulous job Pirate Life team. What you have created will become a major drawcard for the Port. Imagine when the new Port rail terminal is built and is directly across the road from you !! Also noted PL's input into the local community also , for example getting on board recently as a sponsor of the Wonderwalls event. Well done ! I've been 4 times since PL opened in the Port. The beers, well they have always been world class and that hasn't changed. I love the all day 'snack' menu that's been introduced. Great value and terrific quality. Anyone who had concerns about the AB InBev purchase of PL has no need to worry (certainly at this stage anyway). Seems to still be in very good hands to me. Living 10 minutes walk from the PL brewery could become dangerous though !

Spent an hour or two at Pirate Life after visiting the local aviation museum March 2022. It was an afternoon of opportunity to taste test the local brew at Port Adelaide. The beers had good flavour and the atmosphere was lovely with really awesome art pieces and paintings which I loved. The bonus for the boys is the little barber located just inside, so they can get a cut or beard trim with a great excuse for down time with a beer. They had a large range of merchandise including some very expensive skate boards. We wanted to do the tour, but unfortunately due to covid and to protect the staff, the tours are limited to weekends only at the moment, so we missed out this time. We didn't have time for a feed, the menu looked interesting and a little different though.
