Come and experience Adelaide's coziest vintage cafe by the port! Such a wonderful atmosphere and charm, it really added to the experience, making the dining experience so enjoyable as a whole We enjoyed: ✨ Crispy chicken waffle ✨ Magic egg & mushroom ✨ Bulgogi benedict ✨ French toast ✨ Prawn lava sandwich ✨ Black sesame latte ✨ Iced taro latte ✨ Iced black sesame latte ✨ Pistachio matcha strawberry ✨ Mont Blanc Can't fault a single dish. Everything was fresh, tasty and so beautifully presented. The crispy chicken waffle was fresh, crispy, juicy and loved the hot honey! The magic mushroom was fantastic, those deep fried boiled eggs were sensational! Soft inside and crispy crunchy outside I'd have to say the ultimate stand out was the bulgogi beef benedict - the tasty beef was so flavoursome, the creamy hollandaise and the heat form the curry sprinkle on top just all worked so beautifully A special shout out to the french toast too ..it was pan fried to perfection and the peanut butter added a lovely savoury note that balanced out the sweetness. Their range of drinks are fantastic. Something for everyone and always bringing out new ones to try! Their taro has always been a favourite of mine!

Every time my riding buddies and I come down to the Port, stopping off at the Lipson Cafe for breakfast, we are never disappointed. Great personalities, friendly and relaxed but always with great service. Carol, Nora, John, and the rest of the team look after the rowdy bunch of Fatboy club cyclists extremely well. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this welcoming Cafe, sample great food served up with beaming smiles from the staff. Most importantly for us, the coffee ☕️ is no: 1...❤️ it! Well, I'm back at the Lipson Cafe after nine months overseas. Rejoining my Fatboy riding mates for breakfast 😋. The great thing is that the level of service, quality of food, and excellent coffee ☕️ have not changed. Simply, the staff provide a consistently good service, and we'll keep coming back. Try the egg & bacon muffin with avocado 🥑...it's to die for, yummy 😋 Thank you, Lipson Cafe, for a warm welcome home breakfast!

Enjoyed a weekend out at Port Adelaide, and my friend recommended this place. They have a lovely outdoor space and it’s dog-friendly. For food, we tried: • Crispy Chicken Waffle (9/10) • Magic Egg & Mushroom (9.5/10) • Prawn Lava Sandwich (7.5/10) My friend had the Matcha Strawberry — a bit strong in taste for her. The sesame latte was a nice decaf option, and I got the Mont Blanc coffee. I’m not usually a coffee fan, but it tasted amazing. It wasn’t too crowded on the weekend, so there was plenty of space to relax and chat. The food came out quickly too. Right across the road is the Maritime Museum (ticket required, but great for kids), and you can take a walk to the red lighthouse. There’s also a Sunday market every week. Such a nice spot to hang out on the weekend!

Review of Lipson Street Cafe:

Unfortunately, our experience at Lipson Street Cafe on Mother's Day was disappointing and frustrating. Despite the busy day, which was expected, the service and quality fell far short of our expectations.

We arrived and ordered three lattes, two bacon and egg rolls, and one Lipson Street full brekkie. The young woman at the counter told my son the wait time would be around 20 minutes. However, after 15 minutes, our coffee had yet to arrive. My son approached the counter for our coffees to finally be brought to us, followed by a further delay for our meals.

The situation only worsened as we continued to wait. After 20 minutes, when our meals had still not appeared, I inquired again and was told that we would need to wait another 20 minutes due to the volume of orders. This was frustrating as it contradicted the initial waiting time we were given.

The communication and organization seemed chaotic, with a staff member rushing out the door with coffees, informing us our order was being prepared, only for one bacon and egg roll to arrive shortly after. With no apparent explanation, receiving one meal but not the others was perplexing.

When my son addressed this at the counter, he was again told our meals were being cooked. Eventually, after over an hour of waiting, we received our meals.

Additionally, I must highlight that after consuming the food at Lipson Street Cafe, I felt unwell and experienced digestive discomfort. The poor quality and preparation of the meal, particularly the cold mushrooms, dry eggs, and overcooked sausage, left me feeling physically ill after eating.

This unfortunate outcome further underscores the unsatisfactory experience we had at Lipson Street Cafe. Not only were the service and wait times inadequate, but the food quality ultimately had a negative impact on my well-being post-meal.

In summary, Lipson Street Cafe failed to meet basic standards of service and efficiency, particularly on a busy occasion like Mother's Day. They needed to be more staffed and better organized to handle the volume of customers. We waited an hour for our meals, and the disappointing quality left us dissatisfied.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Lipson Street Cafe, especially during peak times. They need significant operations and customer service improvements to justify a...
