Sunday night was my first time heading to Carmine and co for my good friends baby shower, unfortunately the experience wasn’t a great experience at all!. The main waitress that was taking care of the private function was very cold and abrupt. When walking around the tables asking guest for drinks, there was a miscommunication regarding what drinks can be selected amongst the guest, the waitress then insisted on saying quite loud and aggressively “SHE said you can’t have that, it’s only drinks off the list!”. This was the first bad taste of the venue I had. The next was when the waitress started to try take main course, my friend had to help translate what some of the food was, the waitress continuously rolled her eyes, huffed under her breath, turned her back on the guest and threw her clip board onto the waiter station in frustration! I watched the way she interacted and treated my Asian friends all night and it was disgusting behaviour! Also I didn’t appreciate hearing the owner make comments to my friend, when putting food down like “see I told you I would look after you!”, “here’s some extra garlic bread” These comments honestly were not necessary. The 2 other waitresses that you had upstairs helping clear plates, running food and setting tables were so lovely and warm to the guest, maybe your main waitress should work closely with those ladies and learn how to be warmer and more welcoming to guest no matter their race or how difficult they can be. After all the guest are the ones paying the bill. After watching your main waitress for the night it was disappointing because she’s extremely good at her job and knows exactly what’s going on and what needs to be done however her attitude towards our group really let her down. I have worked in the industry for 18 years and I tell my staff “ you can be exceptional at your job but if you have a poor attitude and energy toward guest that outweighs how good you truely are” Putting the main waitress attitude aside, The food I can not fault!, it was cooked perfectly, very flavoursome and great portion sizes.

Today I visited Carmine and co-I booked in a reservation for two people at 6:30 for an inside table. We got there around 623. Had to get a carpark. We ordered three entrees, half a dozen Kilpatrick, half a dozen of natural oysters and a king Whiting fish with a side of garlic bread that was gluten free and dairy free all our Entree were all gluten free and dairy free then for our main switch. Ordered the spaghetti but changed it to gluten-free gnocchi and then we also order the beef raviolis but change that to gluten-free gnocchi as well with a side of cheese and chilli we didn’t use as we are gluten free and dairy free with two cocktails, which were Aperol stiz we change soda to lemonade instead we had two glass of mostac as well at end finish or with two gluten free panacotta and oat milk ciao latte and zymill cappuccino both in mug we had wonderful night relax the atmosphere was perfect we had own of businesses melina come over say hello asked how night was we told had wondered night high recommend see places to all southern side of Italy 🇮🇹 real chops real Calabrese style food was on top notch service was fantastic what more could asked for fun imitating and relaxing I will definitely going back for more thankyou to melina and staff at Carmine for fun fantastic night see soon Come tonight on April 5 on Saturday with hubby for birthday I made a booking last minute owner Melina got me a booking straight when got restaurant she greeted me straight way with hug and kiss that what called hospitality warm welcome 🙏 what could asked for more she sit me and my husband straight down took our order drink straight took food order straight did tell that it was busy night and be waiting for food that what I called professional in hospitality for let us straight way at start that be waiting for our food so I highly recommend food I highly recommend the service I highly recommended atmosphere so thankyou again Melina and her team for another fantastic experience at carmine restaurant and hospitality definitely see us again Melina and team at...
