Do not recommend!!! The location is so beautiful and breathtaking, but it's such a shame that the menu and food isn't up to scratch, and the owners/staff clearly don't understand what Vegan means. I noticed on the menu that they had Vegan written next to "Toasted Croissants", "Eggs on toast", "Sweet French Crepes", and also the Avocado Smash (which includes Feta). It would be advisable to have "VGO" written next to these items, which means "Vegan Option", however, eggs are NOT Vegan, therefore the Vegan writing next to "Eggs on toast" is highly misleading, understandable if scrambled tofu on toast was an alternative, however it wasn't!! Please update and change the menu ASAP to correctly reflect what Vegan means (no meat, dairy, eggs or honey). My partner also ordered the Eggs Benedict, and he specifically asked for the poached eggs to be cooked well, so the white wasn't runny, and when it came out, the white part of the egg was runny. I ordered the avo smash, and the avocado wasn't fresh and had those disgusting stringy bits in it, which made me choke and gag, it also stated that it came with a pomegranate and black bean salsa, which was far from that, it was just a few bits of black beans scattered underneath the bread. Overall, we were highly unimpressed with the menu and food here, and will not be returning or recommending to family...
Read moreCame for brunch on Saturday after seeing a food blogger rave about this place on Instagram. Right off the bat, I noticed the staff were not very attentive. One example of this was not cleaning up the table that was used before us, even though we were told to sit there and it would be cleaned right away. Once finally cleaned, we were given the menu and noticed it was table service so we sat and waited for over 30 minutes for staff to take our order. My partner decided to get up and order at the counter instead, to speed things along. He was advised that it was table service and someone will come and take our order soon. My partner and I were both annoyed at this stage after waiting another 10 minutes, before the owner (looked to be the owner), took our order. Mind you, we were seated right in front of the counter so the staff could see us as they passed us so many times. The food arrived relatively quickly. We ordered from the lunch menu and what arrived was small portioned, that by the time we arrived home - we were already hungry. I don’t understand the raving reviews at all - maybe change in management or menu?? I hardly ever leave reviews but I felt that I needed to for this place. Worse experience ever. Save your money and...
Read moreWe were recently staying at West Lakes and wanted to have a breakfast. We lakes along the shore and noticed this little cafe. It looked extremely inviting. After going inside we’re we’re greeted by one of the loveliest staff members I have ever come across in hospitality. Her name was Alana! Alana was brilliant. She made our visit memorable for all the right reasons. She was friendly, bubbly and new the menu very well. My wife ordered Bacon and Eggs, and asked for the bacon to be crispy. She told me it was the best breakfast she has had in a really long time. I had an Iced Coffee which was lovely. My wife also had a coffee which she loved. The food, service and view was awesome. The pricing extremely reasonable as well. To the owners of this business, Alana is a MAJOR asset to your cafe and I really hope that she is appreciated by you. Thanks again, we will definitely come back here. Even though we...
