The Cake Hut — Restaurant in Adelaide

I Had a very bad experience. Never expected it from this place as I used to buy a cake atleast every month from here for some time. Ofcourse Cakes are delicious. I asked to do a write up, and they said they could do only 3 words, but i said i need to add another word. They didnt do it and said they cant add another word. When i refused to take it, they said i have to pay for it. I agreed. And they squeezed 4 letters (papa) comparitively smaller in size, in the same cake, and charged me extra 4 dollars. They should have done it in a proper way and charging me wouldn't feel any bad. There is a way to deal with customers. I would say very ridiculous service.

As i cant reply to your reply, just editing this. I clearly said your staff what i want, and it would be worthless if i dont get that fourth word written in. That means i expect 4 words on it. About charging extra, she could have told at that time itself, so that the staff could have done it properly istead of squeezing it in. As i told it cleaely, i told her that i cant take it unless it is altered. And you did it on the same cake writing a smaller words, instead you could have charged it at first and do it in a proper way. Telling i am rude just shows your attitude towards customers. After puzzling over where to get my birthday cake from this year, I chose to go out of my way a little bit and come here, and I'm so glad that I did! It's so hard to find places that even do full sized continental cheesecakes, let alone make ones that actually taste good and don't charge you your soul, your house and your firstborn child for it. I got a continental passionfruit cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious, definitely one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! The prices are very good and the gentleman who served me was lovely, polite, and very patient when I had issues with my card. We travelled to Adelaide for our daughter’s birthday and we couldn’t find a cake shop as most of the shops were closed. We finally found this little hidden gem where you can get very reasonable price cake and super delicious and not too sweet (My daughter picked the strawberry cake which is yummy!). We shared the cake at the hotel and everyone loved the flavour. Most important, we were impressed with the service provided. The staff was so friendly, helpful.
