Dont bother. One of my worst dining experiences in Adelaide to date. My friend and I ordered a charcuterie board for $16.90 which was amazingly stingy. 6 paper thin slices of meat, 3, 3mm slices of brie cheese, half a slider bun sliced up and a tiny bowl containing 2 pickled mushrooms and a slice of carrot. The menu said we were going to get cornichorns and pickled vegetables as well which were absent.
It took nearly 40 minutes for our mains to come out and when they did they were wrong. We had ordered the duck fat, sea salt and rosemary kipfler potatoes to share, instead my sweet potato wedges side was swapped out for a tiny side serving of these pathetically overcooked potato shards (so over cooked they sounded I like ceramic when tapped against my cutlery. Also cold). I was however charged for the full serve at $9.90. When I asked the server about it he told me that what we had recieved was what was on the docket in the kitchen (no apology/explanation for the late food). I had to re calculate our bill myself using a menu and my receipt to check. When I approached the server at the bar again, he assured me I had not been over charged. I had to firmly tell him that I had been and show him my maths on the side of my receipt before he simply said he would have another serve of potatoes sent out. I asked for a refund instead which he seemed annoyed at but was given theoretically (let's see if it actually comes through via my bank) for the $9.90 No apology for the stuff around at all.
I get that hospitality is hard and stuff ups happen but the whole night was filled with stingy servings, sub par food, and awful service. Will...
Read moreWe ordered two scotch steaks with chimmi churri and a schnitzel. The schnitzel came out, but the steaks were completely wrong. Instead of fixing the issue, a staff member came out with the EFTPOS machine, didn’t even speak to us, and just expected more money for the steaks we had already ordered.
When we asked for a receipt to confirm what we had actually ordered and paid for, the manager (Stewart) flat-out refused to print one. He would not prove that we hadn’t already paid for the correct steaks. Meanwhile, the other person at our table had already finished their schnitzel while we were left waiting with nothing.
The “solution” Stewart offered was completely unacceptable. He refused to refund the money back onto EFTPOS and only offered cash, because apparently waiting another 45 minutes for the right meal wasn’t an option. When questioned about this, his response was: “Well, what do you want me to do about it?” – an appalling attitude for a manager.
This entire situation was handled unprofessionally from start to finish. Incorrect meals, refusal to provide a receipt, refusal to process a proper refund, and a dismissive, rude manager.
We will not return, and we will absolutely not recommend this...
Read moreI called the maid earlier in the night to ask when lockout was and they told me 3am. Then again called them about 15 minutes before arrival to ask them if that was still the case and how long the line was they told me 10-15 minutes for line up and no other information. When arriving within one minute I got told it was lock out (wasn’t even 12:30 at this point). My friends and I had ubered from town hoping to get in and under the impression it would be ok as we had called to make sure it was the case, very disappointed. When I called to tell them about my situation the girl was very rude and hung up on me. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years including pubs, even if it is in high capacity doesn’t excuse you to mislead me to be able to come in then on top of that be extremely rude to me when I wanted to put in my feedback. I know they were under high demand tonight but doesn’t excuse them to mislead then be rude to their patrons. I didn’t expect them to let us in when comparing, I just wanted them to at least acknowledge my complaint for a later date so this wouldn’t happened again, yet was treated like complete garbage...
