Viet Next Door — Restaurant in Adelaide

I'm not usually the type to leave a food review, but this place was the worst dining experience I've ever had in my life.

Our table of 15 was waiting for food we ordered for 2 hours, and even drinks we waited for 30 minutes. Our fried rice that arrived after an hour went cold waiting for our protein dishes, and their first suggestion was that they could reheat the fried rice that costs $15-20 in a microwave instead of making a new batch.

The customer service was so disorganized when food was arriving, they didn't know which table or person ordered which food and just kept yelling the dish name in the entire restaurant, hoping to find out who ordered their dish.

When going to pay the bill, I was told last second that there's no split bill and people couldn't leave early until we paid the total amount. When they gave us the receipt, we had to calculate amongst ourselves who ordered what food and drinks instead of keeping track of which person ordered their food and drinks.

The taste of the food overall was super disappointing. The worst customer service I have ever had or seen. It honestly looked like an episode of Hell's Kitchen. I wouldn't come back, even if it was a paid dinner. I would rather eat actual...

Dinner at @vietnextdoor_ from about a month ago: we haven't been back in ages, and the Viet Next Door's menu is a lot smaller than we remembered. The food is still very good, but it somehow feels a little bit more like an extension of Vietnam Restaurant. . Vietnamese moulé: mussels. Absolutely loves this dish! Such good flavours. The sauce was great for dipping with the fried dough 😜😜😍😍🤤🤤. . Whole clams with fried dough: similarly, as with the mussels dish, the flavours were fantastic. Fried dough is a must! . This place serves incredible food: simple yet authentic. Every dish is served at a correct pace, neither bombarded all at the same time nor served really slow. The overall taste is balanced and every ingredient shines through. The decor is contemporary, stylish and sophisticated. The staff is extremely polite and thoughtful. This place is apt for long hour conversations as the ambience of this place is cozy and comfortable. The menu is extensive and has a variety of choices for everyone. Went here to celebrate my friend's birthday, and this place did justice to it and we enjoyed our hearts out. We ordered the following dishes and am trying my best to remember the names:
