Sunrise Bakery & Cafe Angaston — Restaurant in Angaston

Ordered pie and sausage roll which were alright. My wife ordered a ham and cheese croissant and asked if it could be toasted. The staff had to find out if they toasted croissants which they eventually did. 1/2 hour after ordering the croissant it arrived minus serviette. It was only luke warm in the middle. Whilst waiting my wife heard people asking the staff if the cream in the cakes was fresh or mock cream. The staff did not know. It was mock cream. My wife explained the difference for them. Spoke to manager re service who did apologise. Had noticed that staff and manager had been busy doing photographs etc. Apparently something for their website. May I suggest this is something they could do out of hours. Especailly when people are waiting to be served. Upon leaving I noticed tables outside still had the same cutlery and rubbish as when we arrived 45 mintues earlier. Have been to these premises on numerous occassions under different managements. Was served by a lovely young lady for lunch today and a bit of small talk ensued during and after transaction. I would call this great customer service but an older lady serving thought not and poked her in the arm as to say stop talking and serve even though there were no customers waiting behind me.Time to give it away and put your feet up if customers aren't number one priority in your eyes. My fave bakery to go to in Angaston. The service is great and the staff are so helpful and friendly. This place is very popular so go in before 12pm otherwise you will have to wait.
