Be careful when ordering and be VERY clear. They had a specials page on top of the menu, with one dish being "The Benny". When ordering I asked for 2 Bennies followed by the drinks. What arrived was brisket bennies which is on their main menu titled "Brisket Benny". I was not repeated my order at the start where I could have noticed and changed it and we were not offered to have it replaced when the order came to our table, we were just told there are 2 bennies on the menu. We don't like brisket so had half the toast and only the eggs. Then they came and took our plates away, not even asking if we had finished. Spoke to the female about the order and asked her for future reference for the order taker to confirm the order. The female said nothing at all and walked away. A few minutes later the original server came and apologised for the mix up saying it was her fault and had asked if we were offered to have it remade or if we would like a refund. We told her what was said when the order came with another person and agreed to have some sort of partial refund. The server said she would speak to her manager. Read moreVery poor service just experienced which is unfortunate because I normally enjoy Cioccolato. Stood to the side of the queue to read the menu and let a couple of other people go ahead of me. By the time I lined up and gave my order I was informed that the kitchen was closed. Looked at my watch, it was 2:01PM. Fair enough, I had missed it by one minute. So I suggested I could take something preprepared like a croissant or a sandwich from the cabinet which was being cleared. The waitperson said she would have to check with her manager. The manager who was standing right next to us and had begun clearing the items from the cabinet just grunted ‘no’ and refused to even acknowledge me. The waitperson serving me seemed embarrassed by her manager’s response. Read moreI've been going to Cioccolato at least once a week for possibly the last 5 years (not sure how long, but whenever you first opened!). Today, I was with my husband and we ordered our usual, One large flat white and one large skinny weak cappuccino, half milk, half water. Unfortunately both coffee's were luke warm so we went back to have them heated (now, take in mind that mind is half water, so should be hotter than normal). The young chap at the service desk was lovely, but the young barista said the coffee was 'perfec't and that she would not change it!!! I did argue my case for a while, but she was not budging so I asked for my money back and we went up the street to the other cafe.
