Sede Cafe in Ararat is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is stylish yet comfortable, with a relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for anything from a quick coffee catch-up to a quiet solo moment.

The coffee here is top-notch—smooth, rich, and expertly made. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. I ordered a flat white and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in the area. They use great beans and know exactly how to bring out the flavor.

Their food is just as impressive. I had a sandwich , and it was fresh, well-presented, and full of flavor. Everything on the menu looked tempting, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more.

The staff at Sede Cafe are friendly, attentive, and always up for a chat. You can really feel the community spirit here—they know their regulars and make everyone feel like a local.

If you’re in Ararat and looking for a great café experience, Sede Cafe is a must-visit. Great coffee, delicious food, and genuinely good people running the place. Highly...

Had a bite to eat here in the way home. Nice place. Plenty of people here. Must be a local favourite. We had the brekky burger and scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms, pork sausage, and hollandaise. I had a latte. My travel partner had the brekky burger and said it was nice. My breakfast was ok. The scrambled eggs needed seasoning but were cooked pretty well. Just a bit overdone. Sausage was very big and nice. Hash brown was bought in, so in all honesty, it was average. I prefer handmade. It is easy to do and can be a great point of difference. Mushrooms cooked good. Again, a touch more seasoning. Hollandaise, too thick and no sharpness. It should be a sauce consistently with some bite. Latte was good but too hot. I know people like their coffees super hot but it's the wrong was to serve a latte. I might have to ask for a not too hot coffee from now on. Over all a good experience. Remember, I...

Good coffee. Average service. No table service which is fine but there is no indication of this on the tables outside and even though we had staff walk past us and catch our eye- They don't offer any information and ignore your looks.

Had scrambled eggs which were fine, and the BLAT which was below average for a $20+ sandwich. The bacon was very undercooked, the cheese was that plastic consistency that doesn't melt right and big chunks of unseasoned mushy tomato. I didn't ask for a replacement or my money back, just tried to point it out to the owner at the end of the meal and he arrogantly informed me that they had NEVER had a complaint on the sandwich before- the implication being that I was wrong.

No bother to me, it's not my business. But there's that age old expression, "the customer is always right." Now that's not to be taken so literally, but he could have handled it with more...

S.E.D.E which stands for Sour Espresso, Dodgy Eats. Provided me with another terrible cafe experience this morning. After ordering a coffee to dine in, I was forced to sit and watch while locals ordering and collecting take aways were served one after the other. When my coffee was finally delivered I was informed that ALL the coffees, even the ones I heard ordered, were in fact phone orders placed before I arrived. The meal itself was very lackluster, with no thought given to presentation. The coffee was weak and lukewarm. There are plenty of better options within walking distance, I suggest giving them a try before wasting your time and money at S.e.d.e cafe.

Had two coffees here. One mid size takeaway and one large takeaway. (One Sunday morning and one Public holiday Monday.) The medium one we had Sun was to die for. Delicious strong flavour without any bitterness and perfect temperature. The next one was way too hot (couldn't hold the cup for a few mins) and they forgot the choc on top of the cappuccino. Maybe just a case of being under the pump but it was extra disappointing after the first one being spot on and even worse as it was a public holiday so cost more too. Guess we need to try one more time if we return to Ararat before making a final call....

Arriving later on a Saturday you could be mistaken for thinking Ararat was in lockdown. SEDE was open with a reasonable selection of meals. The all day breakfast gave my wife the omelette she was after and I went for the Cajun Chicken burger. We were both very happy with the meals brought to us. Chips were crispy and hot, the lettuce in the burger was crisp and fresh. They produced my wifes wierd coffee request without a bat of an eyelid, and she gave the nod of approval. Three outside tables with sitting for about 20 inside. We took the bench looking out the front windows so to watch the world go by.
