Geláre Applecross — Restaurant in Ardross

The one star I’m leaving on the top of this review is only bc I can’t not put a star but the one star is certainly not due.

Everything about this Gelare was horrendous. The service was appalling and the waffle and ice cream were even worse. Let me walk you through our experience.

We walk in I ask the girl working if I can get a triple scoop in the waffle cups she says of course! I choose my 3 flavours and just before she scoops the third one into my cup she says you’re not allowed 3 scoops in the waffle cups I said but I just asked you if I can and you said yes she said well you cant I can give you the third scoop separately but you’ll be charged differently so I said don’t bother I’ll just take the two.

My sister and best friend get a waffle to share and ask for cutlery accordingly. They only get one set so when the same girl came to bring us the waffle to our table we asked for more cutlery she said get it yourself from the self serve table so we said okay fair enough… only to see that the cutlery isn’t actually available on the self serve table which meant we needed a staff member to give it to us anyway. Never mind the eye roll we get from this same staff member. We also had asked for a receipt and she insisted that it would not be possible and blamed her manager for not allowing them to print receipts.

As if all that wasn’t enough miss girl decided to reapproach our table while we were simply trying to enjoy our evening and she starts a scene saying I don’t appreciate “the manner of your eyes” mind you SHES the one rolling her eyes the whole time at us. Then cuts us off every time we try to speak up and goes on to say “the customer is always right but not in this case I hate the manner of your eyes!!” getting very worked up then putting up her hand to shush us before stomping away. May I add it was reasonably busy at this time and the stares we got from the other tables were definitely not what we went to gelare for.

Make it all worse just as we get up to leave she felt a craving for a spotlight so she dramatically acts out the scenario to her teammates.

Honestly so so disappointed. The waffle cup was greasy and crumbly and the waffles were soggy by the time we got to eat it considering the interruption this girl caused. I wish I could include her name but she mumbled something along the lines of Saba?

Will not be returning to this...

This is the worst Gelare I been to by far so disappointed. Not one friendly staff member they come off very Intimidating. Our waffles were burnt couldn't taste the mable syrup we payed for extra cream didn't get extra cream, very unhappy. the atmosphere very dull and uncomfortable you feel very unwelcome only Convenient thing was car park are right out the front door. I never felt like this before and I feel very sad about it because I took my kids their to have a good time but sadly it was the opposite. Will not be going back there again if you want to go to a great Geláre it would definitely be (Cannington shopping centre near the Cinemas) (Pic below my review is from Cannington's Geláre) I'm telling you completely different atmosphere, friendly staff and when you pay for extra you get extra!!! I wouldn't even give this place one star because it don't even...

Came here at 8:25pm for a waffle and ice cream. Trading hours say close at 9:30 so plenty of time. But no….. I was told the waffle machine was turned off. There was 22 people still inside.

I questioned why the machine was turned off while there were customers still there and was told because they had to close soon.

Anyway brought my ice cream still and it was ice cream that was completely iced over. Disgusting!!!!

To make matters worse whilst still eating my iced up ice cream, some guy comes over tells us to leave because he wants close.

I asked him why, when you close at 9:30. He said we wish to close early.

9 people had just walked in, ordered and just down. Whilst I was outside writing this review, I see them all walking out with ice creams in their hands. Kids and all. Clearly they too were asked to leave.

Absolute joke of an establishment. Avoid...
