We have been regular visitors at Bad Apples Bar Applecross for a casual lunch/dinner but recently booked an indoor space at the bar for our cocktail style engagement party. From the initial booking calls to the night of our engagement party, we were blown away with the professionalism and accommodating nature of everyone involved. Our events Manager Dillon, was in regular and timely contact with us leading up to our event to ensure that it ran as smoothly as possible. The price for the event food was very reasonable and Dillon helped us to pick a beverage plan that suited our night.
Murray (Bad Apples Bar owner), made us feel that nothing was too much or too hard in the lead up to and during the night of our engagement party. The night went fantastically and we had everyone commenting on how kind, cheerful and friendly all the staff were!
We chose 3 food items for our cocktail event; arancini balls, selection of pizza and pulled pork buns and everyone commented to us on how delicious the food was. Dillon was fantastic at 'reading' the room with how much food was getting eaten so he slowed down or sped up the food delivery management based on this.
Overall we had such an amazing night and so did our guests! We will definitely be booking our next function at Bad Apples Bar Applecross and highly recommend it to others looking for a venue with friendly staff, great food and a...
Read moreThe second time the four of us dined here for dinner and we were very disappointed. We were given a table in the corner, and the table and the floor, were covered in food, presumably from whomever sat there at lunchtime. We were the only ones in the restaurant last Monday at 5pm, how hard would it have been to at least vacuum the floor, prior to seating new customers at the table?? We refused to sit there as it was disgusting and were then moved to a slightly less dirtier table. That corner table area, was never even cleaned or vacuumed that night, despite the waitress sitting another group there. They also refused to sit there and left the bar. The food was very average, the prawns were soggy and just warm, along with the haloumi. Not surprisingly, my husband and I were sick the following day and the day after, which I now believe was food poisoning. I have not asked the other two people we were with, if they were also sick. We will not be back and judging by the poor turn out for a Saturday night (we were dining at Simple Italian opposite Bad Apples), I get the feeling that whoever is running the bar, clearly has no pride and cannot be bothered even making an effort to ensure cleanliness for their...

SO THE STORY GOES...
We originally booked another venue for my best friend’s hens party all the way back in March 24'. Despite receiving three confirmation emails from that venue, they called us just NINE days before the event to apologize—they had overridden our booking for another corporate event and could no longer honor the reservation we made in MARCH!
Enter Garry at Bad Apples: our absolute HERO! 🙌 From the moment I reached out, he was incredibly kind, accommodating and went above and beyond to save our Hens big day.
We showed up with 40 cowgirls, and the Bad Apples team did not miss a beat! Every detail was seamless, and they made the night unforgettable.
If you’re planning an event, don’t think twice—Bad Apples is...
