Not the best food I've ever had. And definately not worth the expensive price tag that goes with it in my opinion. But it tastes pretty good and if you don't mind the cost, then it's worth going to at least once. Staff is nice as well.

Just a cafe with pies, the only thing special is there long donuts but at 8.30 they weren't even available. The pie had bearly any filling. After ordering a coffee you couldn't taste the coffee only burnt milk.

Had a Spinach and Ricotta Roll and an Italian Sausage Roll - both were delicious! The Italian one was super flavoursome - give it a try!

We chose to stop here for breakfast today on our journey through to Cairns as we saw it was a family run business however the unwelcoming service by the two female staff members in the morning will have us to go elsewhere next time. We stopped in the morning to purchase two pies, they had no bacon and cheese pies but we were happy to have pepper instead Pies themself were okay and not bad. Staff however were not welcoming in the slightest. We ate our pies at one of the two table benches outside and after we finished before leaving, I went back inside to buy a cold drink. A short while after I walked into the store and before I was rung up for my drink, one of the lady staff members made a remark loudly about ‘scratches’ made to the outdoor table we were just sat at, the other lady responding saying that they weren’t there the day prior. The first lady then made a remark to the other worker about food being left behind on our table. No rubbish or food was left behind on the table apart from some pie crumbs that fell off our paper bags that we ate the pies over. When the other staff member didn’t respond to her she made the effort to repeat it loudly to one of the customers who she knew by name who responded with nothing. She then went outside and cleaned the table down with spray and wipe. It was a very uncomfortable encounter as it was clear she was indirectly talking about me and my partner and she had been intentionally insinuating that it was us who made the scratches and as if we left the table in a much worse state than a few pie crumbs. This all came out of now where as we only interacted with her politely and brief. Won’t be back here, it’s a shame that people feel the need...

I absolutely love this bakery. The jam doughnuts are actually real with alot of jam in them wanting you to buy the lot they are that good, im not really a pie eater but everytime i come here i have to buy a pie they are amazing and use local produce. The bread doesnt go stale the next day, it lasts longer than the supermarket bread and is so much better. If your driving through ayr or live here dont drive past this joint until you get a pie.

The staff are really nice and treat you with respect. The place is very clean and tidy with an amazing atmosphere.

When i come in next i will take...

I decided to leave the big smoke to travel far and wide from Townsville all the way to Ayr, for a great feed, as I walked through golden gate I was greeted with friendly faces all round, I was recommend the bread from the bread lady, with the mushroom chop, it tasted like the most goodest bread my pallet had ever eaten. I initially arrived with the ambitions to get a single loaf of bread, I know left TWO LOAFS OF BREAD my god was I over the moon with the taste of the bwed. Good...
