Ayr Anzac Memorial Club — Restaurant in Ayr

Not entirely sure what’s happening at the local Anzac Club but it seems to have gone off the boil a bit. It was always a hive of activity and great place to go and be, but lately it’s definitely changed. Don’t know why. The food has changed, not necessarily for the better and the most obvious thing is the really loud yelling in the kitchen. Is everyone hard of hearing or do they just yell now ? And the other night the service was unbelievably slow. I allowed for it being the busy rush hour etc but it still went way past time. Having said that, it doesn’t help when a group of 7 women finally make it to the order post THEN decide to look at the menu and take 25mins to get thru ordering. They also need a separate area for phone orders to collect and go, like at the supermarkets. That’s the whole point. Food was very average but i was more disappointed that the place was quite and i went out for dinner with my pregnant wife and all she wanted was a burger 🍔 i asked if they could help her out and make a burger but the older waitress was quite rude and wouldnt even ask the chefs. Been a hard week so decided on Anzac Club take away for tea. Haven’t been there in ages. He had the chicken Caesar salad and I had the Singapore noodles. Absolutely five star. Perfect.
