The Local Taproom — Restaurant in Bacchus Marsh

This was such a nice place. Even though it’s a local pub, when I walked it, I was greeted like a local. Like someone they’d make a long life connection with. It’s such a nice little place, and the owners are absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is welcoming, there is an open layout, however it’s set out to have sections, although everyone is able to still talk to each other. They support a local pizza business down the road by selling pizzas to customers and small finger food that is bought from a local wholesaler shop not too far from them. All their alcohol is produced in Victoria. They have a small selection, however they make it work, and they make it work damn well. Just popped in after a big day hiking in Lederderg park for a quick bite to eat and loved every second of our visit. Bartender was very welcoming and gave us a great run down of the hugely varied drink options. We grabbed a couple delicious craft beers and also ordered some bar snacks which came out hot and fast, no fuss. Wow, now there is definitely a 100% reason to stop in Bacchus Marsh! If you like beer, that is beer that's Craft, Artisan, Bespoke (🤦‍♂️) and NOT pumped full of chemicals and preservatives - come here.

There are ten craft beers on tap, with a mixture of IPAs, Ales and Sours. If you can't find a style of your liking on tap, try the fridge!
