Thai on High — Restaurant in Ballina

Was a bit worried before I ordered, but had hungry kids waiting and had to fine a quick lunch solution. The service was fine and friendly, very quick too. Unfortunately the food was horrendous :( The smell was gross from some of the boxes, it was mostly inedible 😬 because we all were starving we just ate what we could tolerate and through most of it to the bin! The food tasted nothing like Thai or Vietnamese food. The same night 3 out of the 6 had a bad tummy, really unwell. Worse 80$ ever spent, actually felt like crying, such a waste. We've been here a couple of times and the food is always prepared really quickly, and tastes fresh and delicious. Most recently we had their fried rice and noodle stir fri, both of which were delicious. However, on our most recent visit, we were quite disappointed with the service from the lady at the counter who was not really very friendly at all, she was quite abrupt, and seemed irritated when we asked about what vegetables were included in a certain dish. Worst Pad Thai! It literally tasted like tomato sauce was the only flavouring. This has to be just pure lazy and not caring. As Thai options are hard to come by in Ballina, this restaurant could have had soo much potential if they even tried a little bit. It’s seriously not good enough.
