SUGAR R SPICE — Restaurant in Barwon South West

As a Colac local I had been frequenting this store until the last 2 times where the same staff member has tried to overcharge me on the eftpos machine. Once I can put down to a mistake but twice in three weeks I can't. There's plenty of options in Colac so I hope that losing a customer over 40 cents each time was worth it. To anyone else going there keep an eye on what they charge you. And if you think I'm being petty No, it's not the monetry value but the principle of being shifty. I will never return.

Edit due to reply.. Strange how both times .. YES BOTH times the order was rung up on the cash register first so how your POS wasn't working is a mystery to all wouldn't you say. Oh. My. God. Best HSP and kebab in Colac, no, in Melbourne, no, in Australia, no, in the world. Brothers, you have outdone yourself with these tremendous feats of culinary artistry. Just stopped by on the way from a camping trip, and left with a new, profound outlook on the world. I’ve never felt myself more connected to my senses and the beauty of food while me and my friend sat on the curb of 7-11 and absolutely ravaged those sweet, sweet meat meals. A little heavy on the hot chili, but am I complaining? No. The spice could not stop my lust for this sweet HSP. In regards to kebab, it was refreshing, divine and succulent in flavour, packed full of veggies with a somehow perfect ratio of meat to veg, finishing off with a gentle squirt of sauce. All the food seemed at least 1-2 days old. Unfortunately, we ate here because we couldn’t find any other good Indian restaurants nearby.

We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, naan, chicken wraps, and kebabs. The curries tasted stale, with very small pieces of meat in them. The rice had unusually large grains, which didn’t feel authentic, and the naan was clearly frozen and just reheated before serving.

I truly regret dining here. It was absolutely not worth it. I hope not to visit...
