KFC Colac — Restaurant in Colac

My last tragic experience with KFC Colac is absolutely unbelievable. After years not buying KFC, I ordered a box with the promise of a free zinger burger. I also ordered three extra pieces. I ordered at 1pm for delivery at 5pm. With the hefty delivery fee of $9, the total cost for this order was over $35.

At 4:40pm I received an update showing that my order was with the driver. At 5:10pm I received a further update saying that KFC was too busy and the delivery will take place at 5:30pm, which it did. When the food arrived, I got a smallish box and asked the delivery guy "is that it?" and he assured me that it was. I knew that my order could not fix in a box that size.

When I opened it, I noticed that the chips were missing. Then I took one bite and the food was barely warm. In addition, the chicken tasted bitter. So did the zinger burger, which was so small, I took a photo next to a tablespoon to show the scale. The only item in the box that had any real warmth was the potato and gravy, which tasted like mashed potato covered with engine oil. Some of the chicken pieces are so small, I suspect KFC is breeding dwarf chickens.

I ordered through Menulog so I contacted them for a refund. They offered me a voucher for $5 to cover for the missing chips. I refused and asked for a full refund. They then offered $15 in vouchers, which I refused as I want a full refund. I am waiting for a response from KFC and if it does not involve a full refund, I will instruct my lawyer to start proceedings against Menulog and KFC.

Selling disgusting food at a high price is fraud. Not all KFC are equal. I have been to very good KFCs in the past, places where the chicken was so good, you could never have enough. KFC Palmerston in the NT is one good store that comes to mind.

KFC Colac is run by incompetents who should have nothing to do in the food business. Since my experience with KFC, I have spoken to a few Colac people who also had a bad experience ordering KFC. This means that there is a systemic issue at the Colac store. Stay...

Ordered lunch this afternoon. Little did we know this is how our lunch begins… We were served by A lady who barely made eye contact and didn’t even greet us. Rude as it is. She selected aioli sauce for the upsized nugget meal without even asking us what flavour we would prefer. We didn’t even receive a receipt, nor did we get asked if we wanted one. just to add onto great customer service we didn’t receive an order number. After paying for our 2 upsized meals, the lady gave us our drinks, one 600ml and the other 375ml. Shortly, she called out the order number and placed it next to us on the counter. perfect time to mention that we asked for an upsized meal and got a regular drink. after almost cutting us off, under her breath also!… she’s replied “you got a regular” My partner and I looked at each other and then BOTH said we had ordered 2 upsized meals. No acknowledgement from her at all, she’s turned as we were saying this to her for the THIRD time. She gave us no choice but to leave the building, absolutely 0...

Bad experience. My wife and our 2 year old dined (lol) in the restaurant (lol) The music playing was way too loud for a start. From memory it was foxtel channel V music played so loud in the dining area that the staff (3 of them) could hear it in the kitchen. The dining area was filthy, it took us a while to find a table that wasn't covered in grease. I've seen mechanics cleaner. There was rubbish on the floor everywhere and my daughter ate a chip that was laying on the floor amid the various wrapper's everywhere. After saying we would dine in and waiting 25min (we were the only people in there) we had to go to the counter and ask for our meal (lol) disgusting excuse for a franchise. I've since made a complaint to KFC...
