Booked for 10 persons at 5.30pm to get in early as we had a toddler in our party. Perhaps the worst food experience I have encountered in my adult life. Menu was ordinary at best - I only wanted something light but found it very difficult to find anything suitable with only 4 unusual salads to choose from, no caesar, no green salad, no asian salad in an Asian restaurant. I ended up choosing a couple of Asian entrees, spring rolls & steamed dim Sims, while the others ordered from the main menu & we also ordered 3 kids meals & a garlic pizza base to come out with my entrees. My entrees came out within 10 mins of ordering & they were very poor quality - the dim Sims were almost cold & not cooked thru. Not sure how they managed that unless they used "cold" steam.... Meanwhile, we waited for the kids meals & garlic base but they never came. After 30 mins, I enquired about their status & was told the chef was making them now. 30 mins later (an hour after I received my entrees), the other main courses came out but still no kids meals & no garlic base. I asked the waitress again about them & she indicated chef was aware & they won't be long. Meanwhile, the other meals were also poor quality & either not heated/cooked properly or overdone. Two pasta dishes were not heated properly (luke warm) & both the bolognaise & lamb ragout had no flavour apart from tomato or base lamb, both very bland. A medium scotch fillet steak was charred black on the outside & grey & dry on the inside with not a sign of any pink meat. 20 mins later I enquired again this time to one of the male floor managers about the kids meals & garlic base & he said he could only ask a waitress to find out for us & once again we were told that they were still making them. A further 20 mins passed & I asked the female waitress manager about the still absent kids meals & she enquired once again & was told that chef was now making a new batch. Meanwhile our kids were almost crying with hunger & frustration, having to share some of the food off the adult plates just to get something to eat. A full 90 minutes after the adult meals came out (2 & 1/2 hours after we ordered), I'd had enough, approached the head female waitress & asked to speak with the manager. She came back 5 mins later & offered us a refund on the kids meals & garlic base, apologising profusely for the kitchen. As she handed us the cash refund, the 3 kids meals came out but STILL no garlic base. Absolutely INCOMPETENT chef & kitchen staff at Po Loy. Not sure why this mob were accepted by soldiers club Management to come back & take over the restaurant, after having a poor reputation for food & quality when they had run it previously. Definition of stupidity - doing the same thing over & over & expecting a different result. Absolute worst food & service I have experienced in a long, long time with no one to blame but the kitchen staff. The poor waitresses were beside themselves constantly apologising for kitchen stuff ups on ours & other tables while other patrons got up & left prior to eating, presumably for a similar experience to us. I ordered Salmon Fillet-grilled with minted almond pesto, smoked tomato & potato tart & buttered spinach

Positive: Salmon was perfected Smoked tomato & potato tart melted in my mouth 👌 9/10

Negative: Spinach was overdone and sitting in a little puddle of water. Sorry Chef !!!! Personally the dish would be better if you replaced spinach with blistered tomato on vine and asparagus

2 October 2023 Ordered Grilled chicken in garlic sauce Outer part of chicken was cooked as I was getting to centre wasn't cooked Flesh was pink and I wasn't prepared to eat it

Waitress was kind enough and returned my chicken back to kitchen

Chefs response : Chef said it was cooked enough Um maybe for you Chef Instead of telling your Waitress it's cooked enough you should've had the decency and asked if I wanted my chicken cooked longer 👎 My health is important and to pay for food that could potentially put me @ risk IS UNACCEPTABLE !!!! Also with that attitude I'm surprised you even have/ run a kitchen Wasted my $ walked out with an empty stomach and bad experience 2/10

Chef ,maybe consider taking a trip to Lockies Leppington and order their Grilled chicken/ avocado You might learn how other Chefs cook with pride !!!!! Their dish is amazing Cooked perfectly !!!!! Very tender and tasty melt in your mouth experience 😘😘

On military leave came down south to spent the Easter weekend. The concierge at the entrance was polite and professional whereas the wait staff upstairs dinning area were rude and unprofessional. When approached and asked for a table of two the greeter asked where’s the other person? And put my partner at a table with one chair. I was walking up behind him and sat on the sofa. When our food arrived I needed a chair to eat my meal and grabbed one from the reserved table until the table next to us was done. The wait staff came right up to me and in a very unprofessional and rude loud tone said “ excuse me! Excuse me ! Where did you get that chair? Before I could replay she said you can’t just take a chair from a reserve table. I said I was unable to eat my meal comfortably and she cut me off and said doesn’t matter you can’t just take another chair from a different table. I proceeded with asking if she could bring me a chair. She said “ if I can find one but I don’t think so” she never came back we finished our meal uncomfortably and left. The table around us that were reserved were still unoccupied and the table next to us was also empty. She didn’t attend to customers need but had ruined the experience. We are now sitting at the sports bar while I calm down. Breakfast and lunch plan to come back tomorrow I think will cancel. Definitely one of the worst...
