Bellingin my short visit seems lovely and Osteria doesn’t feel out of place. The space inside is inviting, modern yet matches the building and I’d say is styled to fit the cuisine. All round it has a relaxed feel and good vibe, but for a restaurant with many tables still to fill we were too close to our adjacent diners. The service was a little softy spoken, so it was hard to engage with and although it went above and beyond to explain the basics of the food menu it didn’t even touch on the wines. Entrees weren’t served super quickly and there was a noticeable gap between entrees and mains. The risotto and rigatoni were both really good, a citrus kick from the gremolata, and an unusual dry earthiness from the risotto, both surprising and providing that little lift. Dessert was good, and would feed two people. The highlight undoubtably was the burnt honey on the peaches and burrata, that was the perfect entree. The prosciutto could have fed 4-6, it was too much, and everything on that plate fell well behind the Buratta. In hindsight not the best pairing of entrees. I’d recommend, but I’m not a local so I’d probably be checking out a few other restaurants in town before I return.

During our trip in this pretty country town, my Italian blood was craving for pasta, so my partner found this place! The stuff was kind and gave as a description of their dishes, what they recommended and what was on special! Me and my partner were in between the risotto with porcini mushrooms and the rigatoni with veal shin in gremolata, so we decided to share and have a little taste of both! I found the risotto full of flavour, but a little too liquidy and too many mushrooms (I prefer more balance between the risotto and the ingredients), the top score for me goes to the rigatoni, pasta perfectly cooked and the sauce was mouthwatering, I’m getting angry just talking about it 😅 We will come back next time we are in the area for sure!

A faultless experience on all fronts. The atmosphere is luxe, with linen napkins and quality glassware and an open kitchen design. The service was of an extremely high standard. I had some questions regarding the wine list (quality Italian reds) and Fi provided an excellent explanation, then went on to introduce us the menu and make suggestions. We ordered too much for two ppl but wanted to taste a variety of dishes. It was all delicious. From the pea and mint arancini to the pork neck villenesse. No room for dessert but I spied them on the next table and wished I did. Thank you for a wonderful high quality experience and for opening an amazing eatery in Bello. We will be back!
