Great little spot let down by appalling service and poor food.
We ordered bratwurst with onions, sauerkraut, tomato sauce and mustard.
The 5 people on service were mostly chatting and standing around so we cleared our own table.
Took ages for the food and when it came there was no sauerkraut or mustard. We called the server over and pointed this out - 5 minutes later the meals came back with mustard and no sauerkraut. At this point we just gave in and ate.
The rolls were awful with sugary yuk bread - the bratwurst had barely been grilled. I ate half and gave up.
The chips were beautiful.
The servers seemed to think they were at a social event with 2 of them doing all the work and 3 standing around, chatting and paying...

Too be able to sit and watch the ships come in and out of the harbour was awesome.
The menu is small but caters for most people offering something for breakfast through to yummy cakes🍰🎂 for morning or afternoon tea to toasted sandwiches and croissants 🥐
The friendly owner & staff were happy to have a chat and service was quick. The place was never flat out busy but steady for the 1.5 hours that we were there with lots of repeat customers who were greeted by name or who called out to say hello as they walked or rode past.
We will be visiting again...
Read moreIt's one of the best more tranquil spots in Geraldton that you can sit facing the beach. A marvellous view. Run by a very friendly German man, Alex. The food is tasty with plenty of options. When they are busy I feel that they lack a slight bit of organisation and I had to wait 20mins for a coffee even with plenty of people in the kitchen. On a quieter day things run much smoother. So I guess pick your moments and expect a little wait. The location will keep your mind busy and inspired whilst you wait and you might even catch a glimpse of dolphin...
