The Larrikin Hotel — Restaurant in Bowen

Went there the other night with a few friends and his dad. They wouldn't serve the under 18s at the bar which was fine but did let them order food. At the time we weren't allowed to order a kids meal because we were too old but hungry enough to eat a full size meal.

It was fun the first time so we went again without my friends dad. Two of us are 18 and as soon as we walked in the bartender was staring us down. Two of us walked up to the menus and she asked if we were all 18. And we said some of us are and showed ID but were still refused service because not all us were of age and went on to add the whole hotel didn't serve under 18s. The pub was OK, nothing to different to any other pub, the food has alot to overcome as the portions are particularly poor for size and what is on offer does not seem to turn up the same as what your ordering, for example, I ordered Garlic Prawns but what turned up was prawns in cream I'm not sure if they forgot the garlic but it would have made it a hellov a lot closer than...
