The Yard is designed as a modern South American share-plate restaurant. My partner and I shared the corn riblets, Churrasco chicken thigh, loaded fritas, and pork shoulder tacos. The corn riblets were barbecued perfectly, with great seasoning, although were a little expensive for what they were. The chicken thigh was succulent and delicious. Would highly recommend! The pork shoulder tacos were ok, but the pork itself lacked the flavour to captain the dish. We wouldn't recommend these. Try the chicken tacos instead. The loaded fritas were amazingly crispy without being overcooked. The toppings were (somewhat surprisingly) delicious, but we wish that the bowl wasn't so deep, as the chips at the bottom lacked any toppings. Would still recommend, but the regular fries might be a better choice. A nice place for dinner with very friendly staff. Check it out!

The Yard has a nice ambience - but still freezing cold despite 2 indoor heaters as the area is open. It is NOT a restaurant. You order with a QR code, and pay. There is no service. There were 4 of us today, we ordered 2 main beef, 2 main chicken and sides or cauliflower, 2 chips and loaded fries. We waited 15 minutes before receive one bowl of chips, (8 minutes later ) one beef mojo plate arrives , (then 5 minutes later) the burnt cauliflower with same mojo sauce arrives, then a chicken dish, (then 10 minutes later) another bowl of chips, (then minutes later) another beef mojo plate and finally after 15 minutes the loaded fries and another chicken plate. Totally disjointed meals. Perhaps they should advertise them selves as a bar with side dishes.

Let me set the scene here: 26th of Jan,long weekend so the vibes are high as the town is busy. The sun’s out, I’ve got my dog, and my two favourite homies by my side, and we’ve parked ourselves at The Yard in Bright. This place is the real deal. Dogs are not just allowed they’re welcomed! The cocktails? Bloody unreal. Like, dangerously good. And the food? Perfect for sharing, though I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t want to. But the good bloke I am, I shared. Good vibes, great grub,

Beautiful venue and great menu but hospitality left a lot to be desired. We had a reservation approx. 3 weeks out for a 6pm sitting. We were a few minutes late (9 Minutes) and had let the restaurant know in advance btw. When we arrived there was no greeting or welcome and we were promptly informed we were late and that our table was turning over at 7:15pm and that orders were taking up to 45 mins to come out and therefore we needed to order as promptly as possible to ensure we we out of the venue by 7:15 leaving us approx. 20 mins to eat. Not exactly the reception me, my wife and two kids were hoping for whilst on a relaxing family holiday. We ordered in a hurry and the food was delivered sporadically and adhoc. Which was fine but the staff were quite rude and we had to ask for water for the table on multiple occasions. I get it’s peak time, but seriously for the prices you are charging resource your restaurant appropriately and push out your table turnovers to allow a little flexibility so patrons don’t feel rushed. We smashed down our food as we were getting looks from the hospo staff until the manager told us that the group expected at 7:30 had decided to sit out the front and that we could relax. Sorry, too late, you messed this up and hence the review. The experience at the Brewery across the road the night before and the Wandi pub was exceptional. There were at least 10 times as many patrons (and staff) and the hospitality experience was fantastic. The Yard…great venue, great...

This was our first time dining at The Yard - the service was efficient and friendly and we appreciated the staff sharing the wifi password with us so we could use the QR ordering system as we had no service otherwise. Our drink orders came out promptly throughout the evening and the margs were fab on a hot New Years Day! The food was unfortunately underwhelming in comparison to the price point and flavours we were expecting. We ordered prawns for an entree and they were more like shrimp. I’d expected to see king prawns used (especially considering there were only 6 pieces on the plate). The elotes was lovely and charred however again, for the price and in comparison to similar restaurants in Melbourne we were expecting the serving to be larger. The mains were also ok, good flavour in the chicken tacos and fresh herbs were appreciated. The charred flavour and freshness we were expecting in our calamari and chorizo dish were unfortunately lost in the heavy sauce. It needed something fresh to brighten up the dish. The atmosphere of this restaurant is lovely, a little hot in the summer however with the fans going and the drinks flowing it was overall a good experience. For the ~$180 we spent (for 2A and factoring in a 15% PH surcharge) though, overall I’m not sure we’d rush back given the other local dining...

Came to The Yard tonight and had an average experience. Cocktails were delicious, all the food was tasty however the chicken thigh dish could have been hotter and the pork tacos were yum but the pork could’ve come out hotter as well and the cabbage and pico de gallo were frozen with icicles attached so when we put it in our taco it made them cold to eat, and the pico de gallo was an extra $4 for a spoonful of tomato and onion not worth it especially being frozen, these toppings should be fresh was not impressed.

The customer service by one of the waiters was not good at all, she did not look like she wanted to be there and was yawning as she walked around even though there was plenty to do and every table was full of people. She would bring over our food and neglect to take our empty plates that were sitting there stacked ready to take. When we walked out I said “thank you” and she replied “all good” when really she should’ve said “no worries guys have a great night” for example.

I expected more from this restaurant seeing as all the reviews looked great, don’t know if...
