During my recent visit to Bright Brewery, I had a mixed experience with both highs and lows. While the food overall was good, the jackfruit burger failed to meet expectations. On the other hand, the brewery's excellent selection of beers, including the delightful donut flavored beer, made up for it.
Starting with the positive aspects, Bright Brewery offers an impressive selection of beers that caters to a variety of tastes. The range of flavors and styles available was commendable, and the overall quality was high. Among the beers, the donut flavored beer stood out as a personal favorite. Its unique and enjoyable taste added a touch of novelty to the experience, making it a memorable choice.
However, when it came to the food, I encountered a disappointment with the jackfruit burger. Despite the generally good quality of the dishes, the jackfruit burger didn't live up to expectations. The taste was subpar, and the flavors didn't come together as harmoniously as desired. It fell short of delivering a satisfying culinary experience.
Despite the setback with the jackfruit burger, Bright Brewery maintains a welcoming ambiance and friendly staff. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff members were attentive and knowledgeable about the beer offerings, providing helpful recommendations.
In conclusion, while Bright Brewery offers an excellent selection of beers, including the delightful donut flavored beer, the overall experience was somewhat tempered by the underwhelming jackfruit burger. However, it's important to note that taste preferences can vary, and others may have different experiences.
If you're primarily visiting Bright Brewery for its diverse and enjoyable beer selection, it is definitely worth a visit. Just be aware that the culinary experience, particularly the jackfruit burger, may not reach the same level of...
Read moreFirst visit, and last time we would visit Bright Brewery. We visited with a large group of friends. It has plenty of upside, with location and layout, but sadly the customer service we experienced from Daniel C was not great.
The major issue we experienced was ordering and the menu. The beef burger - we requested no bacon, as we don't eat pork, but were told that they don't do alterations. And then the Spicy Prawn Bowl, we wanted the mayonaise on the side, but again, no alterations. We've eaten all over the world, and never experienced an inability to take something off an order or put a dressing on the side, but at Bright Brewery, they seemingly cannot meet such simple requests.
Not sure if it is the direction from the kitchen or just lazy counter staff? On the menu, there are substitute options, like a non-dairy option for the burger (e.g., remove the cheese) or gluten free option (change to a different bun) - so how hard is it to take off some bacon for someone that doesn't eat pork?!
And then the Spicy Prawn Bowl - a great reason to request mayo on the side, because it arrives saturated with mayo all over it. What kind of chef would want to kill their creation with a cheap mayo sauce dressing? Probably just a pub cook perhaps?
Drinks was another interesting one. Apparently according to the unhelpful staff member, soda water is exactly the same as sparkling mineral water. Clearly needs to learn a bit more of the basics. Alas, no sparkling mineral water available.
So overall, the service was poor and the food equally as poor. For the above average prices paid, the experience was below average, and we would prefer to visit another local eatery next time we...
Read moreHad a horrible experience a few weeks back. Staff were very rude and I’d almost say arrogant in their approach to customers.
The guy in front of me in the line wasn’t sure of his table number, and instead of the bar staff helping him to identify it (they are in numerical order) he said “well mate unless you want your chicken nuggets and chips sent to the wrong table I suggest you go back and get the number”, and then looked at me for a reaction like it was funny. I thought that was a bit off.
The girl who took my order said no changes can be made to any pizzas because it’s a weekend. She said you can remove things but not substitute things. (We don’t eat meat or dairy so it didn’t leave us with many options) I then ordered 2 pizzas and she only put one through. I realised this later and asked her if she had put through one or two and she said one. Didn’t apologise for the mistake, just fixed the order and walked off.
After placing our order a young girl came out and said “I noticed you ordered 2 pizzas but one of them is just sauce and 1 vegetable.” And we explained that’s all we were told we could order. She said that’s right, and sometimes we won’t let you edit the pizzas at all if we are too busy. I explained that in 2025 with dietary requirements and allergies that’s not very good service. She then became defensive and rudely said “well if you want to customise your pizza go to a pizza restaurant!” And stormed off.
I usually drop in here when visiting Bright but not anymore. It seems like the popularity of the brewery has gone to their heads and they are now rude and inflexible to customers....
