A few things from here:
I noticed multiple bartenders putting glassware in the ice wells (some of their glasses are plastic/polycarbonate, I only saw them put glass in the wells). Fromy bartending background this is a huge issue as glasses can break and chip and you get glass in both drinks and the ice well.
I ordered the same drink a number of times (5-6 across 2 days if memory serves correctly) and received 4 different drinks. It seems entirely dependent on the bartender
All the drinks tasted fine but the fact that I got 3 different drinks ordering the same drink was something new.
Shoutout to Alex, she delivered flawless service every time!
My personal pet hate from bartender is drinks coming out AGES apart from each other but I'm not going to hold that against them as I know it's not...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights ad frequented this bar a few times and whilst no complaints - on the last night I got served by a lady called 'Erin'. I asked for my usual pinot grigio with a bit of Soda water. Not only did she ask me if I wanted ice as well (which i did want but didn't want to make my order complicated) but she also poured my drink in front of me with her hand behind her back like they teach in hospitality. Read moreGreat bar, the cocktails are delicious albeit expensive, the Sunset Cocktails area upstairs is open 5-7pm with an additional bar upstairs. We've had the Piña Colada, Moreton Mojito, and Midori Splice cocktails, and both the Tanga Turtle (imagine a delicious Mojito with apple juice instead of rum) and Spooky Island mocktails. All the cocktails were delicious and had a good amount of alcohol, with actual coconut cream in the Piña Colada and Midori Splices. The Tanga Turtle was the favourite of the two mocktails...
