Big Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Brisbane City

All I can say is eh. $21.50 for a chicken pita wrap, chips and a 600mL drink. Not the most exorbitant pricing but not the best considering the size of the wrap. Overall the meal was super average in taste. I didn't hate it, didn't love it. Would I order it again? Definitely not. The people serving were the only saving grace really. Super lovely. I've heard good things about their whole chickens though so maybe I just made the wrong menu choice. 🤔

Originally gave this place at least 3 stars as the service at the time wasn't horrible. Since have updated my original review to fit in line with what will be my final experience with this lot.

Right so I've eaten here before. Had that bad experience with a lacklustre pita wrap. Wouldn't let me send another review so here we are. Decided to give these guys another chance. Dead set worst experience I've had in so long.. guy behind the counter playing on his phone. Ordered the 1/4 chicken, salad and chips. Didn't get asked which salad I wanted. They gave me Greek with no feta or salad dressing. Thats all good. What annoyed me the most.. I WATCHED the guy pour chips out from a bowl that was sitting on the bench. Not taking the 2mins to cook new chips. They were iced cold.. like absolutely inedible, god knows how long they were sitting there. You can even see it in the photos. I would hard pass this place. Won't ever go back. So many better options only 200m down the road. Save your money...

Oh Big Charcoal Chicken, how much I hate to have to write this review. I have been a long time BCC enjoyer, who has recommended and sung your praises for a long time. But today, I had the worst experience I've had at a food outlet ever.

I ordered a chicken pita wrap, and 2 chicken fillets to munch on the side. I waited.... and waited..... and then i waited some more.

After about 25 minutes, given that everyone who had ordered after me had already got their lunch, I asked the bloke if my food was coming.

I was met with a blank stare, and then he walked off in a hurry. Another staff member asked me if my order had been missed, and I don't know how I was supposed to answer that question.

After being forced to risk my job and take double my normal lunch time due to your incompetence, I finally got my hands on my food, and was severely dissapointed.

The wrap was soggy, but my biggest gripe is the UNDERCOOKED CHICKEN FILLETS. Genuinely dangerous my bro. Fix that fr. That filly was pink as hell. (also try and delete this again,...

I got the chicken roll combo. Put it in the bin after two bites. It was supposed to be the biggest chicken roll around, it was normal size and overpriced. Wanted chicken salt on my cardboard chips so the rude and lazy girl behind the counter just dumped half a cup of salt on top. Couldn't be eaten. The chips were so dry it was like eating mulch. They were dry because no one was watching the chips being cooked.

I looked at the salads. Gross. They could not have been fresh. The coleslaw was the worst, it had grown its own skin. It isn't hard to mix salad every half hour to prevent it from drying out. They have plenty of time to do it.

Who I assume was the manager spent the whole time on the phone - really unprofessional, go out the back. I don't want to hear you crapping on when I'm waiting way too long for my bad meal. Its just a chicken roll and chips, get it together.
