Went here on the 27/12/2023. We were the second to order in the restaurant. The people before us were only 3 people who ordered. There were 3-4 staff members working. We waited at least 20 minutes for our food which is ridiculous considering we only ordered 2 HSP's and 1 double sekh kebab meal. During this time we observed a young male staff members friends arrive, and while we still waited for our food the staff stood there having a long chat with the friend, and then soon after gave their friend their food before us and the customers who ordered before us. I then asked how long the food would be, they said it was almost done. When I eventually got my food they said sorry for the wait and that something wasn't working properly. I couldn't hear them clearly unfortunately, as the music kept going on and off in the restaurant... Odd. I then opened my food outside the store and there was no mince or naan bread in my double sekh kebab meal, along with a "salad" which was a pile of iceberg lettuce, a few slices of cucumber and a couple of small pieces of diced cucumber. I sent my partner inside to ask for my naan bread. The staff advised their bakery was closed and they couldn't get the bread so left my partner empty handed. I then got my partner to ask for a flat bread as an alternative which they provided, although cold?. To make my experience even better, everything with two canned drinks cost me approximately $70 and my hommus I paid extra for tasted questionable, as if no refrigerated properly or was past the use by date. As a restaurant, before a customer pays don't you think it is a good idea let them know there is a wait on food, and you do not have certain items? The restaurant was also very humid and stuffy, with no air conditioning and no air flow. After waiting over an hour for my Doordash meal, I received a message from the Doordash driver to say the restaurant had given my meal to someone else so he had to cancel the order.
When I called the restaurant they lied and said there was no order from me in their system, until I persisted for a few minutes they eventually told me they gave it to someone else. Instead of apologising and trying to make their customer happy, they told me to order again, pay and come pick it up from the store.
Then I spoke to the manager/ owner who was extremely rude and told me it wasn't his fault, it is Doordash's fault because they cancelled the order. After explaining that his staff gave my order to someone else he said either I must order again and pay or his staff should pay as it was their mistake not his, before saying "nothing in life is free".

All that aside there was a long wait for my order. As a person who is a Afghan and Persian food lover and has visited all the Afghan and Persian restaurants in Brisbane and Gold Coast, this is my first time giving a bad review. I ordered the double seekh kebab, the chicken was really really dry to the point where it hurt my teeth while bitting on the chicken. The rice was also very dry and I could tell it’s not freshly cooked that specific day. The sauces on the side was very watery. They had added so much water to the chakny. and they give the smallest amount of portion compared to all the restaurants I have visited.
