Bought a chunky steak pie for my son from here today. He started eating it in the car as we drove off, then stopped and said this is the worst pie he'd ever had, and he really enjoys pies. So I pulled over to try it myself and had to spit it out. It tasted like the meat was off. Took it back straight away, the woman behind the counter kept offering to replace it with another one. Why would I want another one when the first one tasted so horrible? She then tells me, we make them fresh every day, pulls back screen to show a tray full of them. Take into account, it was 30 degrees today, the place isn't air conditioned, and meat pies are sitting in that heat, no wonder they tasted off! Refused to give me a refund, waste of $8, which, in itself is overpriced for a pie, average price in Brisbane is $6. Will never buy anything from this bakery again, shame because we buy from the butcher 2 doors down every week, and their produce...

I’ve been staying at Brighton the last 2 months and have gotten food from this bakery 2-3 times a week. Most the sweets are lacking a real sugar flavour taste more artificial. I feel like I’ve purchased every pastry. Cupcakes, donuts cakes pastry. There’s only like 2 individual things I like from there. Food is also pricy is not worth it. As everyone else says moggys is way more delicious down the road as well as cheaper. I probably will pick a couple things up from here but I don’t support it. Le cafe de Brighton two shops down has lovely baked goods even sausage rolls & pies for the same price and better quality. The lady that works at this bakery seems nice but they really need to change their recipes for all...

The reviews here that rate this place at 5 stars must be fake or paid for, there is no way this place has the best pies! This place is awful. Absolutely rude, stand offish worker or owner. Had rice paper rolls that were so old the ends were hard as a rock. Sausage rolls were terrible, my daughter couldn't eat hers. The meat pie left a weird metallic taste in my mouth after a bite. The older woman behind the counter had the attitude of someone who couldn't wait for everyone to leave. Ask a question, she rolls her eyes type of attitude. Ask for a napkin, she refuses to hand them over. Never again. I really don't have a single nice thing...
