My family owns some popular Viet restaurants in Southern California and I've been struggling to find decent authentic good Vietnamese food in Brisbane. Got the chicken pho and it was absolutely delicious! first authentic chicken pho experience. Crackling has some authentic staples. The seasoning is on point and aromatic as it should be. I also ordered the crab thick noodles (we call this type of noodle Banh Canh) and the chicken curry and they were all delicious and flavorful! The little touches of garnish like onions, basil, green onions add to the correct Vietnamese flavor of the dishes. The consistency of the crab noodle is on point--it should be thicker. Portions are also good! Highly recommended from a Vietnamese restaurant owner with 3 generations of Vietnamese chefs in California and Viet Nam (feels free to look up Garlic and Chives and Luc Dinh KY in Westminster, California) this will definitely be a place...

My wife ordered the Wonton & Pork soup, while I selected the Roast Duck Noodle soup. Both were excellent, with silky, delicately flavoured broth and plenty of ingredients. I counted at least six decent chunks of duck in my soup, probably more, and we both left full and satisfied.

Again, lots of protein received, with the chicken actually being served on a separate plate. Considering other businesses will simply add shredded chicken to their meals, this was impressive. And filling!
Overall, Crackling is a humble business that provides decent service and wonderful meals. It's money well spent, especially on these cold winter nights. I'm glad we found them and we...
