Omg where do I start! Being recently diagnosed, it's been super hard for the hubby to be and I to find places where I can eat and feel confident in doing so. Whilst down in Brisbane looking at wedding venues, we just so happened to stumble across this magnificent Cafe on our way out of the shopping centre. I nearly cried of happiness but it was nothing compared to when we bit into the deliciousness of the pastrami bagel. It was mouth-watering, flavoursome and honestly the best bagel I've had ever! That's being gluten free and normal mind you. Moving on to their raspberry and chocolate baked cheesecake, oh my. But leaving the absolute best creations ever, are the macaroons and the lemon coconut slice.. I was left speechless after my first bite. Not only were they made with perfection but the taste of all of them, to die for. I'm looking forward to going to Brisbane again soon, just to dine at...
Read moreAugust 22 , 2019. I ordered the pumpkin and salad bagel just before closing time. I went to wait just near the window of Sportsgirl. Why was it taking so long? It was pre-prepared in the sandwich display cabinet. I went to have a look. "Are you putting that in the microwave? ( it had salad greens) A microwave oven can kill a foetus, Pediatriton and Pre natal doctors will tell you" I said. "Can you just put it on the plate?" She reaches for a tectonic planet plate. ( A sweet Italian dried cookie, macaroon, or biscuit) I take the plate with the bagel to the counter. "I'd like a refund. Why is it like that?" I say. The young waiter says " Probably because it's been in the fridge all day". He hands me the refund. Cash. I paid card. I say nothing...
Read moreFirst and last time here. Poor customer service by unprofessional, poorly presented and spoken 20 somethings. Ordered a coffee and cake to dine in and was told they would “call my name and bring it too my table”?? Why not give table numbers? There’s a logical option! After waiting more than 10 minutes and observing their staff of 6+ all socialising, I had to get up and ask when I could expect my order. Coffee was okay but grossly over priced and they didn’t give me the cake I ordered. Pointed this out and they refused to bring me what I ordered and instead returned with a card for a free coffee on my next visit. Word of advice… if you see a cafe staffed with this type, know that you can expect zero respect or service. This kind is rewarded...
