Whilst such a long awaited & appreciated shop exists for those of us whoāve had so little to choose from, they have let me down big time! I gave it 2 stars for the food products. However, they never answer the phone & the only contact is via the orders@ email or to physically go to the store, if they are actually there. Thus customer contact is extremely limited & or non existent -especially when urgent matters occur, which is dreadful service. Please be aware that the Mt Gravatt store do not stay open till the advertised 4:30pm. The latest encounter was the biggest disaster & disappointment. I ordered a large GF /DF cake for an important Birthday party with 25 guests, which was assured by the person who managed to make contact after my email request, that it would be made as described & delivered to the venue on the specified Saturday morning. After no confirmation or contact from the store/baker, I started calling days before with no answer & physically drove out there to find the store closed. Luckily I purchased a supermarket cake on the way home as an emergency back up, as NO cake was in fact delivered to the venue on the day of the party. No notification. No apologies. Extremely unacceptable. Even with limited staffing, covid, illnesses, etc, every business needs to be contactable, have contingency plans & much better customer service, no matter what. The website was very nice with plenty of options. We picked one that suited our needs and were directed to complete our order online. There was no response over a couple of weeks and several attempts had to be made to make sure the order was fulfilled. It seems the company did not pass the information on to the local store responsible for the order. The order was finally placed for a cake that looked nothing like what was requested off the website which they said they were not able to supply. When the cake was collected we were surprised to see the finished product was disappointingly nothing like the illustration we were sent. A family member purchased decorations elsewhere and was thankfully able to retrieve the situation. The cake was not cheap and for a special birthday left us quite unimpressed with this supplier. And I am forever being told pastry's etc are out of stock they will be in next week etc. Which often isn't the case and that is if you can get them on the phone in the first place. I called yesterday and was told an order should be arriving today, to call them today to see if it has arrived. I have tried numerous times today, without success and their answering service doesn't allowed you to leave a message, it just tells you to call back later.
