Seafood Platter @ Mount Gravatt East — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I first starting having fish and chips as a kid in 1988 at this shop.

It's gone up and down since with the different owners.

As of early 2012 I finally decided to stop wasting my money here for good. Beer chips ARE good. Burgers are now nasty. Barely any salad. Barely any pattie!! Prices were up every time I went in. Fish was really bad last time I had it. BUT it was normally OK in the past ( maybe the one occasion I got a bad one?)

Please post if they have changed owners or have improved their menu (so saying the owners and all staff are very friendly and nice) would bring your meal out to you if your waiting outside, instead of just leaving it go funny in the hot box. I thought that was good service.

My god the burgers are fantastic now. Seriously i don't know what they have done. But i can eat it once a week no problems. And want it again the next day.

Seafoods good too!! Ive changes them to 4 stars as they deserve it.. lose a star as they close to early.

I want more burgertime!!! (Just being selfish here)

This place doesn't look like much. It's in bad need of a good renovation. However, the food is really good, and that is what matters. The chips are how I decide how good the local fish and chip shop is. I was a little doubtful, based on the look of the place. But the chips were perfect - crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. No greasy fingers at all. You don't get a lot for your money, but the cost of food everywhere is expensive. A hidden gem, and worth a visit if you're in the area. Very busy, so the locals...

We happened to drive along this road and felt like fish and chips, so we came in to take a look. Their value packs are very decent at $28 for two cods, two seafood sticks, two battered corn dogs (Pluto Pups) and four potato cakes (scalloped potatoes, here in QLD) and small chips.
