Original review: Awful. Don’t make the mistake I did and order a milestone birthday cake from here. The cake was supposed to be a chocolate cake (it didn’t taste like it). Looks can be deceiving and this one was - taste was awful. It has been filled in icing sugar (like an amateur baker would have done) and it definitely wasn’t worth $189 I paid. Such a waste of money. It is now in the bin and the sickly, ultra sugary taste is all that remains. Oh and the macarons tasted like they were frozen and had been thawed. Awful, awful. Don’t bother and go elsewhere or make it yourself. Updated commet: I made a chocolate cake at the weekend given the huge let down of the chocolate cake I ordered from Mr T’s bakery. This is the colour of the cake batter (4th image). As you can see, that’s chocolate in flavour and taste and it’s not even baked! Comment in response to Mr T's Bakery: Thanks for your reply. It's a shame you still don't fully seem to understand the issue even though I've spoken to you about this on the phone and also via your messaging service. So, to summarise once again and to be clear for anyone that reads this review: 1. I have not changed my review. It's not my business so I can't provide a reply to your comment on Google Review. If I want to add comments I have to update my original review which is what I have done. 2. Yes, the cake was very sugary in taste. It did not taste of chocolate. 3. The photos of the cake show that it was NOT chocolate in flavour. 4. The photos also show that the cake was below standard and was filled in with icing to make it look round. It was also lop-sided. 5. The chocolate cake batter photos I have added to my review demonstrate what a genuine chocolate cake looks like. It proves a point. 6. Sugar is required for cakes, yes I agree there is a level of sweetness, but not in place of adding chocolate. You have added copious amounts of sugar and didn't bother with chocolate for the sponge. Is this a cost cutting method? Or just bad, poor quality ingrediants? As I have said, the cake you're selling is priced at the high end of the scale. It looks premium from the outside but does not look or taste it when you cut into it. The macroons were frozen. I know this because we could taste strong flavours that have been taken on by other foods in the freezing process. Yes, I have asked for a refund as the cake was not fit for purpose or as advetised. You haven't been helpful or listened to my feedback and concerns so I'd hate for other customers to be let down by Mr T's Bakery. It's such a shame that $189 is more valuable to you than your customers, taking on genuine feedback and making the changes necessary for customers to want to come back. You offered me a 35% discount off my next purchase. Why would I want to go through the same disappointment when you have let me down as a first time customer? It's not best practise what you are doing and your reply, lack of care, consideration or taking responsibility for the misake you have made leaves a lot to be desired.

What a cracker 👏 Very respectable food & prices + Very good customer service 🙏 I use to frequent this spot over 17 years ago, and they had the best chocolate Eclaire you had ever eaten. Calling in today and so much has changed, sadly no Eclaires . Coming soon though, Pork Bahn Mi rolls 😋 Yum We picked up a beef sausage roll, steak & Mushroom pie, coconut slice, and a bottle of lemonade, all of which was only $20 . The Coconut Slice was absolutely delicious, a lovely dense & moist flavoursome biscuit with the perfect amount of coconut and strawberry conserve ❤️ The Pie was equally impressive, with a beautiful lite and flaky buttery pastry, generous amount of mushrooms under the lid. The chunky beef component was spot on in between those tender chucks of beef & the gravy 👌 To be honest, their sausage rolls also tasted good as far as texture and seasoning went, but it was still your above average kind of plain Jane sausage roll. So, this is not your typical Asian bakery where they food is traditionally bombed with sodium, msg, Onion and garlic to mask what is otherwise & often B grade cuts of meat with a 60/40 ratio of fat to beef .

If the food wasnt so pretty id give it a 1 star, Was eager to try this place as iv lurked their instagram a bit but i was largely disappointed. This cream donut alone was 6$ … and it was stale, the bread was hard and crumby with only the holding any hit of flavour and the back egg crossiant might have been good if it was in anyway warm ish not stone cold. I had a regular sausage roll and the flakiness was lovely!! To bad the rest left ALOT to be desired and majorly over priced

I made several orders leading up to the day of delivery for a work function I was in charge of hosting (we had 3rd party customers joining us so this was more then a 'work lunch') I called the day prior to ensure my orders were all received and would be delivered together. I was reassured this would be the case and became aware of the 'delivery window' - I had requested 11.30 online not realising so I tried to change this to 11am to allow room for any potential delays but again was re-assured delivery would arrive NO LATER then 12.30. On the day I had contacted the Bakery to get an ETA on delivery to make sure everything was on schedule and our order was arriving on time. The lady was rude and told me 'we are very busy today - its on the way' - this was approx 11.45am The delivery driver turned up at 1pm and had zero explanation why he was outside of the window. His answer was 'Im not sure what happened - im just the delivery driver' .. and laughed. Our guests had been waiting since 12pm for lunch and were here for training purposes so this delay affected the rest of their day (Not a good look for our business even though this was out of our control) I have tried to contact Mr Ts Bakery on the phone number provided several times to discuss the option of a partial refund or at the very least, an apology/explanation. No answer or reply and its been 3 days. I have try to email and contact via the online chat feature and also nothing. Pretty disappointing as it was a large order that cost over $600 and the bakery had a great review from a personal friend. While the food itself was nice - the customer service and communication OR lack of in this case was a big let down, I wont use or recommend this...
