The ice cream was fantastic, especially the salted nut brown butter, which had a great depth of flavor. The strawberry was a little icy, but still very enjoyable.

When my friend and I walked in, I greeted the staff with a cheerful hello, which went unanswered. Not a big deal! maybe they were tired or having a rough day. I ordered a double scoop, which was placed by the payment terminal. I took out my phone to pay, but wasn’t given the chance, no problem, I figured I’d just pay at the end.

When my friend ordered, they politely asked if it would be okay to have the double scoop served in two separate tubs due to the contrasting flavors. The response was a firm no, which felt surprisingly rigid, especially from a place that prides itself on culinary nuance. It came across as a bit impersonal, maybe even slightly profit-driven.

Lastly, without asking whether we were paying together or separately, both orders were rung up as one. Not a huge issue for us, we could have said something. But that could definitely be awkward for someone on a date or in a less casual situation.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but something about this just didn’t sit right. Maybe it’s because ice cream is supposed to be a magical, joyful experience; underpinned by childhood nostalgia. Not to be dramatic... but it felt like a tiny crack in an otherwise...

The most delicious, creamy ice cream and now my local ice cream shop, I’m so happy. I tried for the first time yesterday and went all in buying the 1L tub with three flavours. I was blown away by the delightful flavours, the perfectly cold and dense texture, and the rich creaminess. The 1L tub price is very reasonable and the portions are really good, perfect to share with your partner/family. The woman serving in the store was lovely too, and it’s a bright and clean space and feels very welcoming. Highly recommend trying the lemon curd/cheesecake flavour. I can’t wait to try more...

Found the ice-cream too creamy and the flavours too weak. I got lemon curd, but could barely discern any lemon flavour. Like eating whipped butter. I had to throw mine out unfinished as I just couldn't stomach it. My husband felt the same.
