Jack & Will's Takeaway and Burger Joint — Restaurant in Brisbane City

In my last experience eating at this place was also my first, however it will not be my last. I personally ordered 'The Usual Thanks' with smokey bacon added on it. It had to be probably the best burger I have ever eaten. There wasn't too much bread or beef. All the flavours complemented each other perfectly. There was a decent amount of sauce though it did not soak the bread like most burgers do. I want to also add something I have never said before, the chips were amazing but I think there was just a little bit too much salt. It was almost overpowering.

My mother ordered the seafood basket and could not say the same things unfortunately. Their burgers are amazing but their seafood isn't the same. The batter was thick and very oily, the prawns tasted a little strange and so did the rest of the items in that dish. She didn't get halfway through it and didn't eat it. We ended up having left it untouched. She also notes that the seafood did make her feel a little sick at the beginning.

My sister ordered the Original Parma and was thrilled. It was amazing, in her words "Close to perfect if not." Not only did the cheese look amazing but it tasted that way too. The chicken was cooked wonderfully and the sauce was so warm and she loved it completely. The entire experience left us full but delighted. It was a wonderful lunch other than the seafood. We will be coming back again. All the ingredients were fresh, well we think most of them were. The meals were a little on the pricey side which was a bit of a shame but still the food was delicious.

You'd think we could have sourced an F sized bottle of super argon somewhere in the southern end of Brizzo... we could not. Travelling to the north side during peak hour traffic for a bottle of shielding gas is a pretty chooffed concept, but we sucked it up and made the journey to Virginia before the gas joint closed. As usual, when I find myself somewhere different, I sussed out Google maps for a decent burger joint. "Oooh, there's one nearby that looks good, josho! Let's go!" I insisted. "Ok," he replied.

Jack & Will's Takeaway joint was that place. Everything on the menu looked great, and being a hungry bloke, I had a crippling case of decision paralysis. I settled on the chicken burger box, which oddly comes with a coupla little chicken kevins. A very welcome addition! The burger was well crafted from very fresh ingredients. Not at all greasy, yet still moist. I thoroughly enjoyed my tucka. The chips were exceptional, although we all like our chips the way we like em, so you might think they're rinsed. I don't know or care how you like your chips cooked, and I don't think we should let such a trivial thing come between us? I don't actually know what Josh had. He did say he liked it, though. It's kind of pointless me even adding that info, so maybe just unread that last bit. I'm actually surprised you're even reading this whole review! Thanks for that....

My wife and I have been regulars with J&Ws since we moved into the area in early 2021. Two years later, and it is our staple weekly takeaway order. We find that the team is responsive with an excellent attention to detail, whom value all of their customers.

The joint has something for everybody and we have sampled almost everything from their menu, settling on our favourites (which is usually some combination of excellent burgers, or the Schnitzels).

Like clockwork on Friday evenings, my wife and I put in our quirky orders. My go-to is a custom spicy double (or trip) if I'm generous, with an off-menu hot sauce and jalapenos. The burger never misses. This is our cheat meal, and I don't want to say that it's the reason I lost so much weight - but it's easy to stay on task when you know that the team at J&W will always deliver (literally, and figuratively).

We never thought we'd consider buying a property in this area when we moved here. Now this restaraunt makes it difficult to conceptualise living anywhere else.
