Obviously the Manager responsible for KFC Richlands and Collins Foods (owner of the KFC franchise in Australia) do not read reviews and do not care. I went there and there was NO CHICKEN. That's right, I said NO CHICKEN! But that's not the most ridiculous part, I was in drive through, and rather than pushing through the people into a waiting car park, they made me wait 30 MINUTES in drive through whilst they very very slowly filled the other people orders of nuggets etc, because there was NO CHICKEN. By the time I got to the window, I gestured to the young trainee guy with my phone that I wanted to show him something, and when he opened the window I told him "this is why you guys have so many 1 star reviews, why not send customers to the waiting parking instead of making everyone wait 30 minutes stuck in the line when they cannot even order chicken". His senior female trainer berated him for opening the window and they closed it and walked out. When I got to the next window they walked out also, as they were all cowardly hiding from anyone who asked them why they were forced to wait 30 minutes plus in the drive through without even being able to order. The disgusting part about all of this is that you can see in the reviews that this is a continuous issue that is still not revolved. They simply do not care, and not only are the staff there incompetent, the regional manager is incompetent and the state manager is incompetent, as this issue should have been resolved. The consistently terrible reviews on here outlining the same issue is evidence of that. And for those managers, here is the trick. They don't take a new order until they have processed the preceding order, so they are effectively manipulating the service times on the computerized system that logs time of order to time of fulfillment. They are manipulating the system to make your customers look like whiners, when in fact they are pulling the wool over the eyes of the incompetent management team. Edit after owner reply Spot free rinse usually means de-mineralized water also without chlorine etc. Anyone with a black car knows if you hose your car with tap water that it will leave spots, hence the reason most car wash facilities provide a true "spot free rinse" that uses clean de-mineralized water that does NOT leave watermarks. So thanks for the excuse that I didn't use the drying option, but the truth is that your spot free rinse is in fact not spot free!! I received a standard copy paste reply with some BS about how upset the owners were about my “dissapointing visit” as well as some BS about serving “finger licking good” chicken (that they didn’t have when I visited them). He/she sounded surprise and asked me to write to them and explain why I was unsatisfied with their service. Why should I waste my time to explain why 640 other customers have also given you a disgraceful 1 star rating? READ THE REVIEWS !!! If you still haven’t realised why your restaurant is probably the worst KFC in Brisbane after getting 90% one star reviews, then you are an absolute imbicile. Below was my review.
By far the worst fast food restaurant in Brisbane. I cannot understand why the management don’t do anything about the service in that place. Maybe he/she is just as untrained as the rest of their staff. Everytime I’ve been there they have run out of chicken. Can you believe it? A chicken restaurant that has no chicken!!! Last time I was there I had to wait for 40 minutes to get my food. Eventually I ask to give me anything they had ready because it was obvious that they had no idea when they would have CHICKEN available.
So I thought I use the drive through this time. They were serving one car every 7-8 minute and there were 13 cars in front of me. What the hell were they doing taking that long just to take an order. So I thought I try my luck inside. It was a mayhem inside. Customers were all complaining how long the staff were taking to had over the food.
One girl packed an order 3 times each time emptying the box and redoing it. 2 girls were making the same order for a Customer and once the first handed the food to the customer the second one called the same customer only realising that he was already served. 2 girls were just walking around gazing at the screens but not doing anything. My recent visit to KFC Richlands left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. Arriving for a lunch feed after a long morning's work, the atmosphere was immediately off-putting. The staff seemed disinterested, rude, and uncooperative, making the entire experience unpleasant from the get-go.
Throughout my visit, I encountered more "We can't do that," "We don't have that," than I've ever experienced at any other KFC. I had to settle for a mix-and-match of regular and hot & spicy items just to piece together a meal—a far cry from the satisfying options advertised.
A particularly distressing incident arose when I requested a specific meal for an autistic child, emphasising the need for both chicken pieces to be drumsticks. What followed was a lengthy argument, with the staff citing their inflexible system, this is not an issue at other KFC's. Despite assurances, upon returning home, not only did the box contain no drumsticks whatsoever, none of the other box's contained any, so much for an inflexible system. This level of disregard and lack of empathy is simply unacceptable. The gravey was burnt beyond being edible as well. What a waste of money it was going here.
It's evident that KFC Richlands has deep-rooted issues spanning from management to frontline staff. The franchise owner urgently needs to address these issues, whether through staff retraining or a complete removal of their current staff. I have no intention of returning to this establishment, and I won't waste my time seeking resolution from KFC's customer service channels (so save the pre-written reply).
