Oh my goodness, The Manly Boathouse! It was time to trade my fancy-dinner-self (from a previous lovely evening) for my I-just-need-a-caffeine-fix-self. The hype for their cafe was calling my name like a seagull to an unattended chip. The location? Absolutely gorgeous! It’s like the ocean itself decided to plop a fabulous cafe right on its doorstep. They've got a wonderful, open-plan seating situation, perfect for soaking up the coastal vibes. And what's this? A live musician serenading us! I'm pretty sure I saw a dolphin tap its foot. Now for the crucial moment: the coffee. I asked for a proper mug, ready for a sophisticated sip, but received my brew in a takeaway cup. A little part of me died, but like a true Australian, just kidding I’m American, I shrugged it off and kept my good spirits (the sea air helps with that). Let's be honest, the coffee itself isn't going to win any "Best Brew to Sail the Seven Seas For" awards, but that's okay! The real star here is the vibe and, frankly, the wind. You will absolutely, positively, get the salty ocean wind whipping through your hair like a tiny, enthusiastic, non-stop hairdresser. If you cherish your perfectly styled locks, you have been warned! It’s an absolute ripper out there. If you want to leave with the same hair you came with, I strongly recommend a strategic indoor table reservation. In summary: Come for the stunning location, the lively atmosphere, and a little light wind-based mischief. Stay for a solid, if not spectacular, cup of coffee. I left feeling utterly ocean-drenched and completely charmed. Just bring a hair tie!

This newly opened Cafe (should be considered a restaurant) is so stylish❤️It's so beautiful that you don't want to leave at all [色色R] I guarantee that no one in your circle of friends has been there yet [shy R] Everyone, hurry up and make arrangements [笑泣R] Manly Boat House, a new seafood restaurant, is a team with the more familiar Reef seafood. With its excellent location, 180-degree unbeatable sea view and beautiful Hampton style decoration, it will make people linger [shy R] The next Internet celebrity restaurant must be it [赞R] I went there in the morning. They only open outdoor and green house-like venues to guests. The scenery is so beautiful on a sunny day🌞Indoor seats are open to guests for lunch and dinner, and the decoration is also very beautiful. There is no brunch menu for breakfast. Only croissants and some pastries are sold, but there are also many customers. I ordered almond and chocolate croissants, both of which are delicious [吧叽R] Especially the chocolate one is not sweet at all

The food, decor, location and atmosphere is beautiful however the staff are so rude. When we arrived we were greeted if you would call it that by this young lady who made us feel like it was a bother, a chore to show us to our table. Really set the tone for our lunch, which was a special occasion and my friends surprised me by taking me there ( as I had recommended it a while ago) They seem to forget they are in a customer service role. No cutlery or plates to share dishes, completely oblivious to a table that is sharing dishes ( and the menu is designed for that right?) No oyster forks offered , one of my friends shared my dinner fork to eat all of the dishes and when we asked for another fork, we were given a look like how dare we ask! When asked could we maybe take the massive wine bucket off the table and do you have a wine bucket with a stand, so we could have room for our food, well that was so unreasonable. When you bring a drink out and notice plates finished, hmmm do you remove them, no not here. We had to ask as our table was getting full of finished dishes. Remind me do dirty Martini’s come with olives unpitted? Nearly chipped my tooth on one and when realising okay that’s how they are serving them, I had no option but to put the pit’s into a glass. When the waitress removed the glass she then went behind the bar and made a mockery of the fact I had put pits into a glass to several staff, all laughing and carrying on… guys it’s an open venue so maybe do that discretely.

No clue to offer another drink, or notice that maybe a empty wine glass is an opportunity to offer if the customer might want another drink… nope we had to prompt this the whole time.

I got to a point where we were about to leave due to being so annoyed by the service, but one of my friends let’s have one more drink and then we will go. Loads of staff standing around but would any of them think oh I’m here for service maybe 🤔 I should see if the customers are ok… nope

With no service clearly being offered, I approached the bar where what would appear to be a manager or supervisor was counting her till, no awareness at all, I stood there for a couple of minutes before I had to say excuse me could I order some drinks To which she said there is no service on this side ( keep in mind we are customers in the restaurant) I said ok no worries and walked outside to the bar on the other side.

I said to the guy I just want to order some drinks we are sitting on the table inside. He said oh you can order that from your table Yes I thought so but no one is serving our table or coming near us and the lady on the other side said I had to come over here. He was apologetic and said please take a seat and I will have someone come over. Thank you!!!

Then we watched a young lady come over to take our order ( but before she did this, there were a few jokes exchanged behind the bar ( clearly about us) with oh gee about 6 staff ( standing around doing NOTHING)

$400 later paid the bill and will NEVER be back.

Then to top it off we met up with another friend at the yacht club afterwards, when we told her of our experience she said “ oh god don’t go there it’s known for being so bad, the staff are horrible”

Such a shame as it’s an amazing venue and the food is good. Wonder if the owners are aware of how there staff behave and treat customers

Guys get some trading for your...

Mainly Boat Club - A Hidden Gem by the Water**

Mainly Boat Club is truly a hidden gem nestled by the water, offering an exceptional experience for anyone who enjoys a serene, scenic, and vibrant environment. I recently visited the club, and I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience.

Location & Ambience: The club is located in a beautiful spot with stunning views of the water, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The surroundings are well-maintained, and the overall vibe of the club is warm and welcoming. Whether you're here for a casual drink, a meal with friends, or a special event, the setting provides the perfect backdrop.

Food & Beverages: The food served at Mainly Boat Club is top-notch. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from fresh seafood to classic pub fare, all prepared with care and presented beautifully. I particularly enjoyed the seafood platter – it was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a great selection of beers, wines, and cocktails.

Service: The staff at Mainly Boat Club deserve special mention. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making sure that all our needs were met. The service was prompt, and despite being busy, the staff made us feel like valued guests. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a priority here.

Events & Activities: The club also offers a variety of activities and events, from live music to community gatherings, which adds to its appeal. It's a great place to bring family and friends, or even just to relax on your own. The members and regular visitors create a friendly community feel, making everyone feel welcome.

Facilities: The facilities at Mainly Boat Club are excellent. Everything is clean and well-kept, and there's plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Whether you prefer sitting inside or enjoying the fresh air outside, there’s a spot for you. The club also offers boat hire, which is perfect for those looking to spend some time out on the water.

Overall Experience: In conclusion, Mainly Boat Club is a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak in beautiful views. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I highly recommend making a stop here. The combination of excellent service, great food, and a stunning location makes it a standout spot on...

So.. interesting night tonight! We spent $$$ here and drank for 6 hours and had approx 10 cocktails each (4 of us) at $22 per cocktail…which would all be on camera and bank accounts to prove it and were not at all in the state we should have been after this amount of alcohol!! We were almost completely sober upon leaving! Which raised us to question the amount of alcohol in our cocktails!! When the bar manager was confronted about watering down drinks, instead of looking into the matter or taking me to the bar and poring a nip from the bottle of spirits to prove otherwise, we were abruptly told to leave the premises and that we would not be served anything more, and were reimbursed for the last drink round as they would not fulfil the order, before I could even discuss the issue in detail. This bar manager needs to be sacked! He is known for his disgusting behaviour and repulsive attitude towards patrons amongst locals and reputation precedes him. What a disgrace he is to the hospitality industry. Bar staff also alluded to knowing there was something “not right” when confronted about the watering down of alcohol in the cocktails and were apologetic upon being questioned and “understood” the concern. On the way home we stopped at the Redlands sports club to do a breathalyser test (30mins from last drink at the boathouse) and blew 0.047 (we have on phone/video with time and date stamp) which is just ridiculous after apparently being told by the bar manager each cocktail had 60ml of alcohol per one!!! Had this been true, I should have blown close to 0.14 and been grossly intoxicated, which I certainly was not. This is nothing but fraud and absolutely disgusting!!! The liquor licensing for Qld and ombudsman will be engaged as apparently this is not the first time the boathouse has been know for this behaviour!! You should absolutely be ashamed of yourselves Manly boathouse!!! Stay away!!! It is complete theft and dishonest conduct and completely unacceptable. If you went here for 1-2 cocktails you probably wouldn’t notice! But after a sesh and you walk out under the limit after 6 hrs of drinking raises serious alarm bells! The honourable thing you could do, is reimburse our group for all drinks and start serving what...
