Good day, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the organization of the Mother's Day event at the boat club. As a mother of three children under the age of four, I specifically requested a table in the second level near the children's play area when I made my reservation well in advance. However, upon arrival, I was informed that our party of 12 would be seated in the garden area, far from the children's area. Despite my repeated requests to be seated near the children's area, I was told that the restaurant was fully booked and could not accommodate our request. This was particularly disappointing as there were ample empty tables in the second level. As a result of this seating arrangement, I had to constantly monitor my children as they ran around the open, unfenced grass area near the jetty ocean . This made it difficult for me to enjoy my breakfast and celebrate Mother's Day with my family thus has made us and other close families we were talking to while waiting, also the food was so disorganised as servucr members asked for our table numbers to give our food and still getting food and drinks mixed up to other tables which made us and other families communicate to get the orders to the correct tables Additionally, the QR code for the children's menu was not functioning properly, and the tables for large groups were separated, requiring us to rearrange them ourselves and dry them down. I hope that you will take steps to improve the organization of future events to ensure that families with young children are able to enjoy their time at the boat club. Thank you for your attention to this matter. P.s after arriving at 8am in a very overcast rainy day we finally recieved breakfast at 10am and it was still wrong ! during waiting so long for breakfast it started raining and now getting rained on so after kicking a stink we got moved inside 2nd floor at 940am (past our booking time which was 8am to 930am) to a table close to the children area with a reserve sign for 1130am on all tables close to the kid area not being used on a rainy day. Shocking

I am a mother and brought my mother here for the Mothers Day High Tea party on the Rooftop. We were a group of 4 with my son being 22 yrs old and my partner. I prepaid the $85 per person as I expected it would be an event where mothers would be made to feel special. I am disgusted and our entire group were in shock at the pathetic attempt at a “special” event. It was an 11.45am booking which is lunch, you cannot call a small slice of overcooked sausage roll, a dinner roll with prawns and a tiny 3-4cm square sandwich lunch, plus a couple of small cakes a lunch. It left us all hungry and I felt really embarrassed that I brought my elderly mother to this. We weren’t instructed how it worked if there was any other food and my mother wanted a cup of coffee we turned her cup over and it was all stained and dirty looking so were 2 others they all looked disgusting 🤮 when my mum showed the waitress she asked if she wanted another cup??? We asked if we were able to order food because the men were starving and we were told we had to go downstairs. I can’t believe you didn’t think to give the mothers a flower each and add a balloon to the tables or a small box of chocolates??? Come on who the heck is your event planner??? After this poor performance for lunch, we took my mum to play the pokies and a lot of machines were out of order, but it happened that a repair man came to fix the machine next to my mother. He had a hacking cough and kept coughing towards my mum and down towards her coffee. My mum was horrified, he was there well over half an hour it was a total disappointment. We love the view but the management need to wake up to what is going on here!! I would happily show them how to conduct a Mother’s Day event in the future. The attached photo is $170 worth of food?? Absolutely ridiculous

Manly Harbour Boat Club is an exceptional spot that captures the essence of Brisbane’s waterfront lifestyle. Located right on the edge of Manly Harbour, the club offers a stunning view of the marina, with boats gently swaying against the backdrop of Moreton Bay. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, making it a great place for a casual day out or a special celebration. The hospitality here stands out—friendly, welcoming staff who ensure your experience is comfortable and enjoyable. The food menu is diverse, offering everything from fresh seafood to pub classics. I highly recommend trying their seafood platter, which is filled with a generous serving of prawns, oysters, and fish, all cooked to perfection. Paired with a refreshing drink from their well-stocked bar, it’s a meal to remember. The ambiance is another highlight. Whether you’re seated inside the restaurant or on the expansive outdoor deck, the view of the harbour enhances the dining experience. The gentle sea breeze and serene water create a relaxing environment perfect for unwinding after a long day. Manly Harbour Boat Club also hosts live music on weekends, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. It’s a great place for families, couples, and groups of friends alike. The club’s facilities, including a function room overlooking the marina, make it an ideal venue for private events like weddings or corporate gatherings. Overall, Manly Harbour Boat Club is a gem in the heart of Manly, offering a perfect blend of excellent food, great service, and breathtaking views. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking to experience the beauty and charm of Brisbane’s coastline.

After reading the last 6 months reviews I can understand why such a high percentage are less than positive. I was keen to see the newly renovated club so myself and a couple of work colleagues decided to attend the Melbourne Cup function. Price was $89 per person. At first they couldn't find the booking under the name the booking was made even though I had produced a ticket. Eventually I was shown to a very cramped-in seat with absolutely no room to move as they had crammed as many people at the very long table as they possibly could. Young blonde girl serving behind the bar was not at all interested in even 'pretending' to be happy to serve you. Food was mostly unpalatable - steak tartare, sashimi, mushroom arancini balls for starters and undercooked chicken and salmon for mains and a 'chunk' of lamb that was not sliced. It was a 'shared plate' menu where 8-10 people were expected to 'share' what was served all from the same plate using the spoon/fork that was provided on the plate....very unhygienic !! Needless to say if you were towards the end you ended up with not a lot left of the few offerings you might want to eat. Dessert consisted of several different small types of sweets with no explanation of what they were. Cheese and crackers were also on the menu but were not served and when we inquired with the waitress about them we were told that it was a 'typo' and that she would 'check with the chef'. She returned to tell us there would be no cheese and crackers as these were for the upstairs group and it was in fact a 'typo' on our menu !!

After the 'function' (I use that term very lightly - it was not a' function' as there was absolutely no entertainment) most people left so it wasn't busy at the bar. I waited over 20 minutes for a Pina Colada which before ordering I asked if they made Pina Coladas and was told 'yes' by the rude male person behind the bar who failed to mention that there is only one bartender that could apparently make them and I later found out after waiting 20 minutes that he had gone somewhere else AFTER I placed my order (he was making cocktails for another patron as I was placing my order). My friend had finished her drink before mine was ready. The Pina Colada was certainly NOT what a Pina Colada should taste like or look like - I have had many over the years but I couldn't be bothered 'complaining'. For $22 you would think they would have 'trained' bar staff to make a simple cocktail like a Pina Colada !!

All in all it was a total waste of money mainly because of very poor and unfriendly customer service and extremely poor food......not a great way to encourage people to go back...

Despite having a reservation for 13 individuals at 7:45 a.m., our experience was marred by several significant shortcomings that I feel compelled to address. Upon arrival, we were dismayed to find that our party was divided into three separate tables, all located outdoors and unfortunately damp. Furthermore, we were asked to dry the tables ourselves, which was an unexpected and unwelcome task for patrons with a confirmed booking. Additionally, our ordering process was hindered by technical issues with your system, which resulted in undue delays and frustration. While the individual assisting us at the front was courteous, the lack of managerial support during this challenging time was evident and concerning. The most alarming aspect of our visit, however, was the quality of the food and service provided. Not only did our orders take an excessive amount of time to arrive, but they were also consistently incorrect and poorly executed. Despite explicitly notifying our server of a serious fish allergy, our dietary concerns were disregarded, leading to a hazardous oversight in one of our dishes. Regrettably, the overall standard of the meals fell below expectations, with instances of undercooked food causing discomfort and, in one case, necessitating a visit to the restroom. Furthermore, despite our repeated inquiries, our coffee order was inexplicably delayed and only served as we were preparing to depart. This lack of attention to detail and customer care was disheartening and inexcusable. Equally disappointing was the absence of managerial presence throughout our visit. Despite our efforts to address our concerns before leaving, we were met with indifference and a lack of accountability from your staff, further compounding our dissatisfaction. In summation, the level of service and hospitality we experienced fell well below the standard expected from your esteemed establishment. As loyal patrons, we had hoped for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience, particularly on such a significant occasion as Mother's Day. Regrettably, this was...
