Had dinner here last night and wow do they need to up the game. After being seated and given the menu we were asked for a credit card or drivers license that they hold while we have dinner. Seriously?!? For that reason alone I won’t be back let alone the chaos that ensued. The staff were so disorganised it was ridiculous. After ordering our food and waiting and waiting and waiting our mains came out, we asked what happened to our starter? A more senior looking lady apologised & said dessert would be free. My steak was cooked med/rare as ordered but my friend’s ribeye was over cooked. We then waited forever before finally flagging down a waiter to ask for the plates to be taken & to get a dessert menu & more drinks. We got the menus & drinks & then ordered dessert. We were then on the waiting game again, finally a waitress then asked if we wanted our dessert now. Confused we replied well yes, but then she arrived with a pad to take our dessert order. Having explaining that we gave our dessert order ages ago we decided that we were sick of waiting & would just leave. So we went to the counter to pay and retrieve our driver’s license and on checking the bill (prior to payment) there was our starter and our desserts so we had to asked for them to be removed, after walking outside we noticed that the cheese topping for our starter was indeed still on there, not wanting to go back we just left. I have never seen so much disorganisation in a restaurant before I hope it improves for their sake but I won’t be back because I’m not handing my credit card or license over to staff that are that disorganised again. I haven’t even written about half the...
Read moreRESTAURANT REVEIW! Let me preface this by saying that if you're looking for an experience, the Manly Motel dining area provides one—just perhaps not the one you're hoping for. Our evening started as a thrilling scavenger hunt. After being told by one waiter to "just go in and take a seat" in a practically deserted dining room, we then had to locate the menus ourselves. This led us straight into the final boss battle: the hostess. Despite the dozens of open tables—on a random Tuesday at 5 PM, which I assume is not the hour a sudden rush would flock in—we were greeted with a truly hostile, "Do you have a reservation?" It was a masterclass in making two people feel wildly unwelcome in an empty room. We almost left right then, but we had a mission to complete; getting dinner.
Once seated, the service shifted from hostile to confusingly rapid. We were given approximately 15 seconds to process the menu before being abandoned for another 15 minutes. It felt like a dining boot camp: hurry up and wait! We eventually had to wave down a waiter just to give them the order. The service, I would say, could certainly use a little bit of work. The good news? My selection was incredibly wonderful! The food was delicious. The bad news? My partner's steak sandwich was a culinary puzzle. Manly Motel decided to take an $15 piece of quality steak and marry it to what could only be described as a 10-cent piece of unbuttered toast. It was baffling, difficult to eat… In summary: We won't be returning, but that one perfect pizza slices through the chaos. If you risk the reservation ghost hunt and the rushed indifference, stick...

As a family get together was enjoyable, with paying for five meals would have expected better - but sadly I was...
