Had dinner here last night and wow do they need to up the game. After being seated and given the menu we were asked for a credit card or drivers license that they hold while we have dinner. Seriously?!? For that reason alone I won’t be back let alone the chaos that ensued. The staff were so disorganised it was ridiculous. After ordering our food and waiting and waiting and waiting our mains came out, we asked what happened to our starter? A more senior looking lady apologised & said dessert would be free. My steak was cooked med/rare as ordered but my friend’s ribeye was over cooked. We then waited forever before finally flagging down a waiter to ask for the plates to be taken & to get a dessert menu & more drinks. We got the menus & drinks & then ordered dessert. We were then on the waiting game again, finally a waitress then asked if we wanted our dessert now. Confused we replied well yes, but then she arrived with a pad to take our dessert order. Having explaining that we gave our dessert order ages ago we decided that we were sick of waiting & would just leave. So we went to the counter to pay and retrieve our driver’s license and on checking the bill (prior to payment) there was our starter and our desserts so we had to asked for them to be removed, after walking outside we noticed that the cheese topping for our starter was indeed still on there, not wanting to go back we just left. I have never seen so much disorganisation in a restaurant before I hope it improves for their sake but I won’t be back because I’m not handing my credit card or license over to staff that are that disorganised again. I haven’t even written about half the...

RESTAURANT REVEIW! Let me preface this by saying that if you're looking for an experience, the Manly Motel dining area provides one—just perhaps not the one you're hoping for. Our evening started as a thrilling scavenger hunt. After being told by one waiter to "just go in and take a seat" in a practically deserted dining room, we then had to locate the menus ourselves. This led us straight into the final boss battle: the hostess. Despite the dozens of open tables—on a random Tuesday at 5 PM, which I assume is not the hour a sudden rush would flock in—we were greeted with a truly hostile, "Do you have a reservation?" It was a masterclass in making two people feel wildly unwelcome in an empty room. We almost left right then, but we had a mission to complete; getting dinner.

Once seated, the service shifted from hostile to confusingly rapid. We were given approximately 15 seconds to process the menu before being abandoned for another 15 minutes. It felt like a dining boot camp: hurry up and wait! We eventually had to wave down a waiter just to give them the order. The service, I would say, could certainly use a little bit of work. The good news? My selection was incredibly wonderful! The food was delicious. The bad news? My partner's steak sandwich was a culinary puzzle. Manly Motel decided to take an $15 piece of quality steak and marry it to what could only be described as a 10-cent piece of unbuttered toast. It was baffling, difficult to eat… In summary: We won't be returning, but that one perfect pizza slices through the chaos. If you risk the reservation ghost hunt and the rushed indifference, stick...

Shouted family to tea in restaurant last night When booked there was option of selecting allergies etc - complete waste of tim Friendly & helpful service from all concerned - though at times service was a bit slow Had couple of glitches; predominantly with my meal - my wagyu steak was overcooked, burnt & tough My topper of the Moreton bay bugs were also overcooked & rubbery (& was forgotten & I got up to ask about - when finally arrived was told they'd forgo charging me for but I was charged) My granddaughter also somehow ended up with two meals - was quickly sorted though Family enjoyed their choices & no problems Had to also get up to enquire re getting desserts The request re gluten free desserts was disappointing, very limited - & was served with a crumb which we didn't know if gluten free as well so didn't eat (plus ice cream that couldn't be eaten due to lactose intolerance At no time were we asked about getting another drink - wasn't about to get up & chase down staff again so we all did with a single drink each

As a family get together was enjoyable, with paying for five meals would have expected better - but sadly I was...

Service - 4 stars. Hayden gets 5, Abby gets zero. Due to her spending most of her time on her phone, she gave away our table while we were down ordering food. And she was very rude to us the whole time. Hayden was great. He was very friendly! Food was good, there should be options to buy spirits in the public bar. And even though there isn’t, Abby could’ve walked down to get the drink instead of leaning on the bar on her phone, eating snacks. Then she sat down at the table next to us for ages with the guys there.

We visited with the family for our 7pm dinner, without even approaching us it took nearly 2 hours for the meals to arrive from the time we ordered. There was no offer of compensation for such terrible service. We asked if we should have to pay and they said we will refund if you leave. Really terrible service, we should have gone to the deck across the road where service matters. When it finally arrived out was small, overcooked and very thin what kills like pressed chicken. So poor.
