I have been shopping at market organics since 2016 when they opened their first store. Overall, they are good. The produce is reasonable and well priced sometimes. I have shopped at Clayfield, Newmarket, Bulimba and Rocklea. My only constructive criticism would be that, the produce always seems the same, no variation in suppliers. So there is no suprises or changes - its identical today as it was 5 years ago. That is okay, except the bananas they sell are very bruised and overipe, the apples are grainy, not your typical crisp, fresh and full of moisture type, the garlic is often very large, not the nice smaller purple type. Its the small things that consumers notice and is what makes them come back. In all honesty, the organic bananas and apples at woolworths are suppier and better priced. The potatoes are very well priced here and really worth it. After 7 years, I would make some changes to the stores, give them a makeover. Also, I will confess, I always request the receipt as sometimes I notice the overall price is too high, only to check the receipt and find an error or something entered at a higher price. It has happened to me a fair few times, which is frustrating. I purchased one leek recently and was charged for a bunch ($4.50 overcharged). Also, I bought some GF pizza bases and they had mold on them. Will I continue to shop there? Occasionally yes, but I'm also checking coles & woolies for the best prices for...
Read moreI really enjoyed my breakfast here.
The granola was such a big serving size for only $12.50. Fruit was super fresh and locally sourced which I love!
The 'my goodness' was fresh and the turmeric cashew cheese gave it so much flavour. Staff were accommodating to put the eggs on the side (to make the dish vegan), i added sourdough and avocado helped make it more filling without eggs.
I shared the 2 dishes with my mum who is non-vegan, and she loved them both!
1 star down for the service. The FOH staff member was nice but not very accommodating when we arrived. Just sort of looked at us as we stood to wait for a table as if we expected we knew what to do or where to go...
Will be back for the yummy...
Read moreBought Almond Road paleo bread here. Got it home to discover mould throughout. It was in date, but very mouldy (this was before the floods too). After a bit of messing about we got a return. Went back to get another loaf last week and made sure I had a look before buying. Sure enough, it was in date but had mould growth again. I would have thought with the amount of staff always moving about in the store that someone would be checking the perishables, especially considering we had returned mouldy bread and so had someone else in these reviews. I went to the store at Clayfield instead and found a much larger range and none of...
