My family and I have been coming to Miss Claudes a very long time, since they were originally in New Farm and we have always had wonderful food until tonight.
Our table ordered four double dessert crepes and out of the four one of the doubles had burnt crepes and another had no Nutella filling in one of the crepes. We let the staff member know about them and at first she said we had eaten them already (only a bite had been taken out of each crepe) and then she did try and tell me that I was mistaken and that one of the crepes contained salted caramel and the other Nutella, I did say I understood but I opened them up showed her that neither of the crepes contained Nutella filling.
She walked away and went to the kitchen and then came back and let us know she would be replacing the 2 orders, which we were very thankful for! After waiting we received our beautiful looking crepes but mine still had a similar issue. Except this time the two crepes I was given both had a tiny dot of Nutella in the tip but no salted caramel filling in either. These crepes were mostly just plain and quite bland to eat. I have never had something like them at Miss Claudes, normally they are really amazing. Disappointed and frustrated by the situation I ate the crepes and left.
I understand they were busy tonight, and we did patiently and eagerly wait for our order but I thought it was pretty bad to try and tell a customer they were wrong as an immediate response and then replacing the item with something no better. I would have given 1 star but the other items (not my lacklustre plain crepe) we ordered ended up being ok, not the usual standard according to the consumers but just ok. Hopefully it goes back to the old standard but I won't be going...
Read moreThere was absolutely NOTHING GOOD about the place - service, food, or atmosphere - everything was terrible! 😡 Honestly, this was without a doubt the worst experience in Brisbane! The crepes were cold, flat, barely filled, and you needed at least two to even have a proper meal. There are only kids working there and boy the service is bad!! Owner of this establishment, YOU HAVE TO TRAIN them and SUPERVISE them! You order by QRcode cause no one comes to take orders and the service is e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y slow. We waited 25min for drinks (2 ciders & a juice) and there were only 2 other tables when we arrived. We had to tell a waitress, that was just wondering around doing nothing, to please fetch our ciders that had been sitting on the counter opened for the past 10min! The juice was nothing like on the menu, it wasn’t in a glass bottle, nor was it organic. Additionally, no glasses were provided to pour it into. We had to request glasses an cutlery on 5 different occasions.
Every single time a waitress brought a crepe from the kitchen, she either got the table wrong or couldn’t identify which crepe it was and had to go back to the kitchen to check. They would lift up part of the folded crepe to look at what was inside cause even the kitchen staff didn't know....every time!!!for all tables!!! What a CIRCUS!! 😱 The only one really working hard was the girl making dessert crepes, she was non stop on the move. Lastly, the queue of Uber Eat deliverers kept growing and growing, they had to wait so long and you could see their frustration building with each passing minute. I felt really bad for them, who will get a bad review? The Uber deliverer, not the restaurant. This establishment needs NEW MANAGEMENT or...
Read moreCame in this afternoon (Dec 1st) with my partner. We’ve been in quite a few times how ever the last 5 times when we’ve bought drinks with our meals the drinks have been late and/or incorrect. Today was the cherry on top of the cake. I ordered an iced white chocolate latte (off of the iced coffee menu) and when I received the drink I took a sip and realised there was no coffee in it. I asked the blonde server when she bought my partners drink over (which was ordered as a thick shake and came over as a milk shake) “hey is there any coffee in my drink?” The server said no. I then said “I’m pretty sure there’s supposed to be coffee in this. I ordered a latte not a milkshake.” To which the server then abruptly told me latte means “over milk”. I have been a barista for the past 4 1/2 years and never heard that term before when referring to a latte. I digress. I then asked the server if I could have a shot of espresso to put in my drink and I’d be happy to pay if necessary. She then rolled her eyes and got the shot of espresso. Feeling bad I then checked my receipt and the menu to make sure I didn’t make a fool of myself. Nope both my receipt and the menu state that my drink was an iced coffee. We also had another item missing off our crepes when they came but by that point I’d had enough. We spent over $80 this afternoon and honestly was so disappointed and put off by...
