The Yiros Shop - Newmarket — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Very disappointed with this visit last night. My husband and I walked into the shop and waited to be served. We stood there for a good 5-7 mins with every staff member ignoring us. there was 1 lady that had already ordered and no one else in the shop. No one said “sorry, just one moment” or “I’ll just be 1min”. Nothing! There was 2 people getting the orders ready for the lady who ordered a take away. And 1 person washing up. 1 person restocking and 1 person cleaning up the meat. Out of 5 people no one wanted to let us know we had been seen?. Was very grossed out watching all the staff members touch there hair, wipe sweat away and wipe there face without washing there hands. They all should be wearing some sort of hair guard, either a hair net, head band or at the very least have there hair platted. There was one guy who was having a can of soft drink stopped got himself a napkin wiped the sweat from him face then kept touching the food, no gloves nor did he wash his hands. Let’s just say I didn’t order the chicken. The food is always amazing, if it wasn’t we wouldn’t of waited. The chips were a bit dry but that is miner. Lastly, wasn’t to impressed when I asked for no onion and she put onion on, I said sorry I said no onion very politely and she gave me a horrible look threw it out and she then started over. It’s not nice when they mess up and look at you like you’ve killed someone. May need some course on...

The young lady was very unwelcoming while she was taking my order. I’m still not sure if that’s because of my race and she is a (racist) or was she just being very rude with everyone. I and my mate we ordered two meals and she only brought one, when we did inform her about the missing meal she answered that we have only ordered one meal, then when I brought her the receipt to show her that there were two meals she was still arguing about it and refusing to bring the other meal then she said that it was the computer fault and that she can’t do anything about it. And I went on to ask her for tissues because she haven’t gave us any, she only gave us one piece and said that’s all we have. Although on the left side of the counter there were a lot of tissues and she refused to give me anymore.

I asked the guy for a combination of beef and lamb. He said we don’t do that. What sort of shop are you? He said you can have chicken and beef or chicken and lamb. I said no I want a regular combination of beef and lamb, after all that he said ok. Then I asked him for the normal salads which go on a yiros and I wanted to add carrot and mushroom. You don’t even have these, gee. Then I asked for garlic sauce and hommous sauce on my yiros. You don’t even have these sauces. What proper Greek yiros and souvlaki shop doesn’t have these sauces. I got home and my yiros was stuffed with chips inside it. I did not ask for this, so why would you stuff my yiros with chips. I couldn’t believe it.
