Great and friendly local bakery, and probably the best pies in Brisbane.
I no longer live locally but I do travel the 1.5 hours to Brisbane for these pies!
I used to lunch here up to 3 times a week and the service was always fast and friendly, and before long I had no need to order as a simple wave would have my lunch order done.
The pies are spectacular and you can see and taste the ingredients as you eat them. Mushroom pies with 'visible mushrooms' that taste like mushrooms. Pepper pies that have visible 'pepper' and taste nice and peppery. It's the same for all their pies.
Cakes, bread and pastries are all worth a try too. I highly recommend this fantastic...

Their bread, rolls, pies, salad rolls, spring rolls, cream buns, fruit buns, lamingtons, etc are all super tasty and most importantly freshly baked and exceptionally well priced. They are the epitome of what quality local Vietnamese/French bakeries used to be like back in the day. It is night and day the difference in quality between the franchised-bakeries/supermarket-bakeries with their corner cutting and cheap ingredients and this little privately owned bakery. My only wish was that they were open Sundays! I hope they are around many...
Read moreAbsolute gem of a place! We had the steak & cheese pie, pepper pie, almond croissant and pan au chocolat. The pies were buttery, flaky, chunky with thick gravy but they didn't fall apart while eating. The pepper one wasn't too spicy and the steak & cheese one had a perfect amount of cheese. And the croissants, omg! Not too sweet, loads of filling and huge! Will be coming...
