Red Rooster Wynnum — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Revolting.

Absolutely revolting.

I have ordered from Red Roster a total of 2 exact instances, including this time. The first time, the food was somewhat horrid with chips soggy from oil, off-tasting sauce and coleslaw, chicken tasting like cardboard, and the bread was somewhat okay, and service was passable. However this is just the last straw, it is pure repulsive. I have found 2-2!!! flies on my chicken wings! Both moving slowly and both made me gag. There was a piece of hair in the coleslaw and I really can't deal with this anymore.

I threw my entire order straight in the bin. I CANNOT believe that an establishment as far reaching and well-established as one like Red Rooster to have such appalling standards of food regulation in their premises!

I am nauseated at the thought of the state of affairs in their kitchen, and even more disgusted at how the staff-at the very least!- do not quality check the food coming out of their kitchen.

I believe myself to be lucky in ordering drive-thru and delivery, since it seems that the actual store itself is repugnant from what other reviewers have stated, then again maybe not. I could have saved myself the money and time had I known the state of affairs.

This establishment needs to step up and clean up it's act.

I am NOT RECOMMENDING this store for ANYONE to dine or order in.

The only thing is ever recommend in this pit-hole of a store are the fizzy drinks, and that's only because they were not made or packaged at this...

So, I’ve never felt like writing a review for a fast food joint before because let’s face it, they’re usually pretty average. But today I was at this particular red rooster and I’ve gotta say that I think it’s the best half chook and chips I’ve ever eaten from the chain! I haven’t been to all of them around the country obviously, but because of my work I’m constantly on the road or in the air so I’ve been to a lot more than most other Australians, and I think that this one makes the best chook and chips of all of my previous experiences!!!! Plus the staff were super friendly and tentative. Granted I did order at a around 3pm on a Thursday so it wasn’t busy. But typically at that time in my experience you get old chips and the chooks are a bit dry. But this time the chicken was moist as f&*k and the chips were fresh and salted perfectly. 100% recommend. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent the place more! And I have four stars for the atmosphere because I didn’t LOVE the tunes that were on the radio station playing. But I’m a serious music lover so they have to be pretty darn good to get 5...

Worst red rooster I have ever been to, the managers can't speak English and I had to repeat my order for a burger on the phone 8 times and at the end they told me red rooster didn't sell big macs and hung up. When I called again someone else picked up the phone and told me I had to go in store if I wanted to order and then she yelled at me in a different language. When I went in I nearly ran over some kid at the front and then I realised he worked there. The store in general is very dirty and has a very moist feeling to it, with a slight smell of cigarettes, while I was spending 40 minutes waiting for my order I saw one of the managers picking up a whole chicken out of the bin and putting it in a bag. I also saw what I think was an employee spitting into a wrap and giving it to a customer. All of the tables are poorly cleaned and the one I sat at was covered in tomato sauce. When I was walking back to my car some guy nearly ran over me and I slipped on the footpath which was loose. Overall, never eat here, it is unsanitary and service was bad, any red rooster is better...
