Thai So-Ho Keperra — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I recently visited Thai So-Ho with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue was the service and significant delays in food preparation. When I placed my order, I was told that the food would be ready in 15 minutes. However, after waiting for over 30 minutes, my meal was still not prepared. This was particularly frustrating as I observed that orders for Uber Eats and other delivery services were being completed swiftly and without any apparent issues. When I inquired about the delay, the staff gave me a rather unconvincing excuse, blaming it on a problem with their rice cooker. This seemed implausible, especially considering that other orders were being processed normally. It's disappointing when a restaurant fails to manage customer expectations and does not provide a consistent level of service to all its patrons. First time to try the new local Thai place and was not the best experience.

Order placed at 6:17pm. Proposed collection time was 6:57pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and waited until 7:45pm for pickup of the food. Even though this was a considerable wait time for food - the main issue is not being informed about the longer waiting time. I would be happy to pick up the food at a later time if the restaurant is busy - I could have waited at home if the wait time provided was more accurate. Maybe the restaurant could provide updated information to customers by email or text message if there are longer waiting times than usual?

The food was tasty however not sure we will return if the waiting times...

I never leave reviews like this but every time I have ordered food from here I have had a bad experience. From wait times 30 minutes above the estimated wait time (so over an hour and a half) and portion sizes that are completely disproportionate and inadequate compared to the price. $22 for the Ka-Na Moo Grob that was half full and only had about 6 pieces of meat in it to a curry for $20 that was barely half full.
