The food was enjoyable—classic café food that you’d expect.
What truly stands out here is the service. The staff are always incredibly polite, welcoming, and happy to assist, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Even when it is busy they are always polite and attentive.
My drink was spot on—especially comforting on a rainy day.
One of the best things about this café is how it fosters a strong sense of community. Locals clearly appreciate both the hospitality and the wonderful team working here.
The only downside is the layout. The tables positioned right across from the register can feel awkward, especially when people waiting for their coffee end up standing uncomfortably close to diners. It was busy so that was the only table available but having customers backsides near you while you eat isn’t enjoyable. Read moreThis place is by far my favourite place to go for any meal during the day. The service and food is a reflection of so much love, integrity and passion. I’ve been to many restaurants/cafes all along the esplanade and in suburban area and wish they had the same qualities as “The Green Hide Cafe”. This place reminds you of what customer service actually should be in exchange for your money and it’s certainly money well spent. My very particular husband says “Best Eggs Benedict in Wynnum Manly”! The environment is a warm, beautiful, community feel. The staff and chef are amazing and get to know you quick smart with every visit. I’m a regular for dine-in and yet another takeaway now for several years and will remain one. As I sip on my on point coffee, I thought to do what I actually don’t do and leave a very well deserved review. Thank you “The Green Hide Cafe” for promising AND...

If the fact that the food was stone cold wasn’t off putting enough, the fact that someone else had 10 minutes of touching/breathing over my food...
