NO DISABLED ACCESS. NO "LIMITED MOBILITY" ACCESS. NO ROOM TO MOVE INSIDE.
Not only do they not have access, they visibly detest people with mobility issues. The disgusted looks I got almost had me laughing that the staff (and customers) didn't even try to hide their feelings!
This place is so cramped that even on walking crutches, you can simply not move around to get seated. Not that you are welcomed to sit in the first place.
Had we not been freezing cold and in urgent need of a hot drink, I would have gladly left. Had I been on my own, I would have gladly left after calling their despicable behaviour out!
To top that all off, the prices this place charges are BEYOND PRETENTIOUS. $4 for a small muffin to go with the $6 burnt coffee? Ech! I visit the Southern Highlands once every two or so months and am on a mission to find the best pies in the Southern Highlands. This shop is by far the best I’ve found so far. Not so humble pie (amazing) Steak and mushroom (amazing) Chicken and asparagus (very nice and not bad for a change) Tradie sausage roll (quite good, maybe slightly salty for me. Pastry fantastic). Had one of the curry-based pies (tandoori?). It was not at all to my taste, but others must like it as it sold out the first five times I went to the cafe. Eccles cake - totally delicious! Inside tables as well as a fully covered outdoor area (corridor shopping) out the front, with about four tables that can fit two people. Dog friendly outside. The staff...
