Flock at the Carrington — Restaurant in Bungendore

Entree was excellent, main course pork belly was atrocious - dry and tough and it looked like the twice cooked pork had been reheated in the oven making it thrice cooked. I could only eat a small portion. I complained to our waitress and when I asked her what comments the chef had to make she said she had not had time to speak to him/her. When I went to pay I asked once again what did the chef say and once again she said she didn't have time. The place was far from busy. I said I shouldn't have to pay for such a disasterous course so she said she would refund the price of the desert which was far less than the price of the pork. She was just not interested in what I had to say instead said something liker it is twice cooked. The waitress was initially excellent but her handling of my complaint was simply uncaring and she just couldn't care less about my complaint. For a restaurant of this quality my complaint was virtually ignored. I would never eat there again nor would I ever recommend anyone to eat there. I used to really enjoy this place and they even had a separate menu with vegan and vegetarian options, but no longer.

I was recommended the bruschetta and what I was served was totally underwhelming and topped with more onion than tomato. Absolutely overpriced and definitely not what you'd expect for a higher end establishment. I shared the feedback with the staff at the bar, but it wasn't received well which was also disappointing.

The pub is a beautiful old building and has a lovely outdoor space. It really used to be my favourite place in Bungendore so I really hope they're able to lift their game and offer some better quality food with more vegan and veg options. I'll update this review if I come back and things...

Disappointing. When booking requested to be near the fire and mentioned it was a birthday dinner. Arrived at 7pm, no comment about the special occasion, the fire went out at 7:30pm and dinner hadn’t arrived by 8:15pm. When questioned it was revealed that the order had been ‘lost’. No offer to compensate for the mistake and no offer of dessert once we finished the main as they were too busy packing away at 9:15pm. On a previous visit we arrived at 8pm, were immediately told we needed to order as the kitchen was closing, and subsequently received dessert before our main meal.
