Gunna Doo Bakery — Restaurant in Bungendore

BE AWARE! Food poisoning! Stopped by this place on the way back to Canberra last Tuesday for a cheeky pie, oh what a bad decision it was. We had a potato plain beef pie and a mushroom beef pie and a sausage roll. The sausage roll tasted ok we thought but the pies as others already described here are rather bad I think the use too much cornstarch. We ended up buying the 4 pack of donuts as well which tasted ok but nothing you would come back for. Anyhow, a few hours later I got cramps in my stomach and started to feel really bad and started vomiting all the pie out and my wife had a similar experience just not as bad as myself. Not sure we just got a bad batch on this day and if anyone else experienced it on that day but usually I am not very sensitive to food have eaten at Streetfood markets in Vietnam before and no issues. Won’t be back for sure and hope the business takes on the feedback here and step up their game immediately before health authorities...

They were upfront, reliable, and true to their word in every step of the process. They didn’t muck me around, they were prompt with their communication, and everything was handled with respect and honesty.

While I haven’t personally visited the shop yet, I have every confidence that the way they conduct business reflects the same professionalism and values I’ve experienced firsthand. Jack and Billy obviously come from a good family with good work ethics, and I believe they truly deserve the support of the community. Wishing the boys...

The thing about a bakery is consistency, ie the pies,thecoffee and the service the same every time. Well, we were there on Monday and the lamb mint pie was great. Went there today and what a difference. None of the 3 ladies serving look like they wanted to be there and the lamb pie today was terrible. I could swear it was yesterday's. The top was harder than you'd expect, it was lucky to be half filled

Aand it was just luke warm and it was 11.45 am, nearly lunch time, so I would expect the pies to be hot that time of the day The plain pie had no taste,there were lumps of mince that actually left a bad taste in my mouth, not sure...
